to everybody thinking his following is a joke...no. i have like 6 of his million mixtapes and i can personally say it's because dude is SUPER entertaining. like i laugh at everything he says. like 2 Chainz is NOT good to me but he's funny (his flow is more normal and not as ridiculous as B's also) ***** Mob Anthem gets me hype EVERYTIME because of the beat and the pure hilarity of it. and to top it off, idk how, but this dude gets some of the best beats in the game.

you still won't even show your face...coward...:rolleyes who are you? what is your so called 'company' ?

I was actually thinking about this the other day.. when you actually look at how many people and movements Lil B has impacted, it really makes you realize what he's done.

He has indisputably been the face of the "swag" movement. And he pushed the boundaries of hip hop even more by making it even more acceptable to be weird, freaky, etc. Fact of the matter is that after what transpired in the 90's, hip hop took itself waaaay too seriously. From the outside looking in, the image of hip hop was meanmugging criminals rapping about drugs and murder. Then Lil B comes along, and he makes hip hop take a look at itself and say "Wait a second.. did we forget that this is all just for fun and games? None of us ACTUALLY kill people or move weight  "

Lil B's career has been a great critique on the culture of rap music. He's contributed to the lane artists like OF now occupy, and even dudes like ASAP Rocky, Danny Brown, etc have benefited. Because they can always say "Hey, there's a rapper out there as weird as Lil B, I'm allowed to at least be a little weird right?" and guys are dropping the tough guy front and being themselves a little bit more.

Hate all you want but ts is 100% right and everything is a FACT he posted. Lil B has a loyal cult following too. Lil bruh aint my type, but cant knock the hustle.

will some please answer my question!!!  what the hell does based god mean or stand for?   all lil b fans please answer so I know.

Examples:
- He singlehandedly revived the word "swag". After they lamed that hit out with that "Swagger Like Us" song wasn't nobody saying it. Basedgod got famous on the internet and it was his #1 ad-lib...now all these young rappers that got hot in 2010 started using it( ASAP, OF, + many more new youngins...and even some rappers that's been in the game longer (Kanye, Big Sean, etc.).
- The trend of rappers saying "I think I'm (insert something ridiculous here) - That's Lil B's **** all the way and ya'll know it. Ross bit it first w/ BMF (coincidentally Ross also jacked some of his ad-libs on the Albert Anastasia EP).
Tell me this don't sound like Lil B talking **** before a verse

That's just one example. There's plenty of different rappers taking different ad-libs or sayings that he popularized.
- Cooking dance. Everybody and their mama was doing that ****. From football players as TD celebration...to other rappers doing it...to people literally putting videos on you tube of their mama doing that ****.
- Guess how Kreayshawn got hot? - Lil B (ain't that ******g crazy if you think about it?)
- How did Clams Casino blow up? - Lil B (In fact, Lil B was the first one on this whole ambient hip hop wave that has made it's way in the game)
700

- Basedgod can ____ my _____ is one of the most popular memes on the interwebs
In short...alot of rappers have clearly been influenced by Lil B and have applied certain nuances of his character...to their image, just without all the extra stuff that comes w/ Lil B. This ***** Wiz literally was cooking his *** off and every damn show he had in 2010. There's plenty other examples I'm sure people can add in.

And that's where I stopped reading.

I'm sure people on here consider me a Ross "hater" but even I know that sounds ridiculous. Ross didn't "bite" Lil B with "BMF", or his adlibs, get real. BMF came out spring 2010..nobody gave a damn about Lil B then.

2010 is when B blew up solo, so that statement is false. And even if no one "gave a damn" about Lil' B then on a larger scale, his content was out on the internet, buzzing, for everyone to see. Which would make it EASIER for someone more mainstream to bite his style, if the general pubic wasn't aware of who he was.

And Ross never bit Lil' B's adlibs? lol

:rolleyes :smh:

On a serious note. It's really bizarre how much of an impact he's had on rap for the last two years. Everyone has stolen from him. His content, dance, adlibs and other stuff. A$AP, Ross, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Drake and so on. Remember when he first came out and started saying he was pretty and this and that, his catchy adlibs. How many rappers you hear now with those copy cat adlibs, calling themselves pretty and doing similar dances.

Rick Ross is the most popular biter of Lil' B, actually. Almost flagrant with it.

A$AP Rocky is the biggest violator though. His whole aura comes from Lil' B. And I really like A$AP...but, it's undeniable. And he has the nerve to diss Lil' B. I don't get it.

Past that, a lot of new rappers are just toned down, "cooler" versions of Lil' B with their own hometown influence. I'm not even sure they rap better than Lil' B when Lil' B is really rapping.

Lil B made himself a joke. On purpose, I believe. He gets how ridiculous he is. And even his fans think he's ridiculous. But, it's fun. Cooking is fun. Swag is fun. Woo! is fun. Calling him Based God and thanking him for random things is fun.

...and just when you think it's all fun and games, he says something serious. Something noteworthy. Something truly positive that you can take away and live with. He's a positive person behind it all. And people joke about his positivity evev, not realizing that when they RT that "I LOVE YOU! YOU'RE AMAZING!" that somebody needed to read that at that moment. That changed somebody's day. Helped somebody. And it's funny and ridiculous...but, it gets into your spirit...while you're joking around.

Even when he was at NYU...it was funny. And people wanted cooking. But, he really did say some important things in that. His only problem is, he's not as smart as he wants to be. Just in the ability to express himself poignantly. But, it works.

I don't really listen to him unless it's him being a complete idiot. But, I semi-follow his as a persona. And the things he says are kind of dope. I think he does important work.

I'm not going to participate in the back and forth, I realized how seriously he took the rap game when he trolled Lil Wayne on that mixtape feature, which I might add is still pure comedy.

The following joint still goes doeeee :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

For every 1500 songs he makes, he makes two good ones. I don't give a **** about his "influence", cause his "influence" has led to a lot of garbage, garbage that ironically people took and made better. He should be sent to Mars for giving those White Girl Mob **** any shine at all. ASAP Rocky, SpaceghostPurrp, and all their affiliates (Denzel Curry, etc) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lil' B. He got people saying "Pretty *****"? Oh. That's nice.

I do enjoy the cookin dance, and his ear for beats. He should send his producers to Nas and deep buried underground backpack rappers.

man aint none of yall want to answer my question as why yall call this dude a based god? what yall cult or something. this dude is corny as hell hes like weird Al hahahah

Clearly you have no clue what you're saying... he wasn't trolling anyone. He was in the studio with one of his idols, some one he admires and is a fan of. That verse was clearly just him being excited to even be featured on the same song as him. I smile every time I hear it, you can tell he was truly happy at that moment.

I understand. And that's all there is to it. I'm based. B has influenced a lot of people OUTSIDE the rap game (and that's what really matters)

And he made yall re-evaluate the music you listen to. You say his lyrics are dumb. Grab 2Chainz, Rick Ross or Wayne's last album. It's filled with '******* on My ****' '8 chains on' '40 thousand for a show' but since it comes from someone who isn't seen as a caricature it's accepted.

WOOODAY LET ME TELL YA SOME'N
*** GO PUSH THE LINE! I MET LIL B AND BASEDGOD AT THE SAME TIME

huh dude Lil B dropped an album and sold a 1000 records how can you impact all of mainstream rap and nobody cares about your projects. Kanye West, ODB, 3stacks, Cee-lo, HUNDREDS of other rappers have had much more of an impact on rappers being able to be themselves.

And once again outside of the word swag how exactly has Lil B influenced anything OF or ASAP does. A$ap smokes A lot of weed, sips lean, and spit about high end Fashion mixed with street rap, what exactly has lil B influenced about that group. Same with OF Tyler & his gang are nothing like Lil B and there music sounds nothing like his what are you guys doing.

Where are these people he's impacted, These movements...... one or two Youtube rappers, some 13 yr old tumblr kids

Hell Jae Millz was the first person to use Legggooo as an adlib now everyone from trey songz to chris brown uses it Does that make him influential.

Vado uses slime everyone from Rick Ross to Weezy has used that does that mean they are swagger jacking him? He was the first to prominently promote rugby and shout it out all over songs and now Rappers all over the game are Rugby'd out does that make his a gamechanger??

Like this **** is confusing to me he isnt influential, Jay is influential, Ye, Nas, Andre, Cam'ron, Hell even Wiz can be seemed super influential to this wave of rappers but Lil B..... nah

"I was murda P.Diddy named me pretty" This was in the ****** 90's........... Dudes have been callin themselves pretty. NOBODY calls themself a pretty ***** or a princess tho:smh:

What on the face of the green earth does Ross do that reminds you of lil B. Scream out Woooooo (Because we all know Lil B invented that sound :ohwell:). Let me guess he got tatted because of Lil B also huh.

If yall like dudes music fine that's cool i stopped wondering why months ago but don't come in here and call dude influential because he influenced literally 5 rappers into using an adlib.

all these people that follow lil b are following his cult.  lmao he made up his own religion.  go look it up. how do you take a christians prayer and change it and put your own words in it to sound as if your mocking the christian religion.   they call him a god and say please have sex with my girl.  wtf yall let some weird *** dude influence you guys..  I dont have a problem with gays but how do you guys call yourselves straight when yall going around callin each other pretty *******?  LMAO
