RIP to the LEGEND Donald Byrd vol. "AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh WIND PARAAAAAAAAAAADE"

^That's a dope album.

I forgot I had the joint.

I'm about to just pull out all his albums and zone out.

Damn

I'm going to smoke out to Places and Spaces for him, he's a legend.

Damn first Sugarfoot and now Donald Byrd. Guy was amazing. Going to bump Stepping into Tomorrow all day today.

Aaaaaaall, the places and spaces I've been.....

Wind Parade, Fallin' (Like Dominoes), Think Twice.

Was dope to see him throw down on "Loungin'" with Guru on Jazzmatazz Vol. 1.

Legend.

RIP

Donald Byrd-Think Twice

This song has been covered & sampled many times. Posted a couple of versions. The word legend can be thrown around pretty loosely now a days but it's appropriate with Byrd. He was among the handful of people that invented "Soul Jazz". Kind of ironic it occurred around Dilla's birthday since he sampled Byrd enough. RIP Byrd & Dilla.

J Dilla Ft. Dwele - Think Twice

Erykah Badu - Think Twice

Red Garland - Soul Junction (ft. John Coltrane & Donald Byrd)

This is the first song I ever heard with Bryd in it...
