Second Go At Relationships

It seriously never works. If it was meant to be you would stay together. (If you believe in that)
The one rare exception is when two people who love each other fall apart and realize how bad they really need one another.
this.

but being realistic, it's hard to commit to a long distance relationship, especially right now at such a young age. I understand everything set fourth already, but through maturity and through age, can't people rekindle things again?

given your situation, just let it play out. Keep in touch with her and see how things go down the road. If it was meant to be and the feelings are still there, go for it.
Otherwise, keep it moving and do you.

They can, which is why I would suggest trying to remain friends. If the connection is still there later, great, but given some of the reasons myself and others have noted, I would avoid committing now-- unless you feel like you could be with this girl for the rest of your life. If that's the case, then the sacrifice is worth it.

I have been there and it didn't work out. Plus in the back of my mind I think of all the men she slurped up when we were broken up. There is no way I can accept that and be OK with it. Would I smash again? Sure.. but to get back into a relationship again? No thanks!

my parents tried things again...4 years later she is moving back to chicago while leaving my dad in MD.

OP dont waste ya time.

yeah. It just sucks because it didnt end due to a lack of love. It ended because of distance and not being able to offer each other the same things. I don't know. I'll get over it eventually.

Sorry about your situation OP. Whatever you decide to do I hope it works out for the best.

I wouldn't be here if my parents didn't give it another chance (still together :hat). Two of my best friends gave it a second chance and both are now happily married with the women that they gave it a second go with. Me personally, I could never trust my ex-wife again after what she did. :{ :\

If your ex-girl "slurps up" all kinds of random men when you guys break up and she is single....then you my friend have a poor choice or standard set for the women you date. Also, unless she is a pristine virgin, she was hitting the sheets multiple times before you....If you can't get past that detail, :{

its called a break up beacuse its broken. as nice as it is to revisit and be with someone that knows you, i think its healthier to just push forward and meet new people.

Too much familiarity.. too much eye to eye.. too much knowledge of each other.. cant work.. just dont see it. Plus, monogamously sexing my girl after she likely let another guy dominate her, is just a no-go mentally. cant do it.. Cant even fathom it

It could be only one dude or a dozen dudes.. My point is that once your exgirl sleeps with any other man after you, she becomes tainted. I would then treat her just like any random jo. Her past prior to me I could care less.

Am curious to know what does that mean ?

and i think your better off moving on .... I know its hard to except the concept that your no longer with her and you "have to start all over" to find a new chick but that's life

I'm currently going through this... kind of. We've pretty much all but given each other the title of "Boyfriend/Girlfriend" again. So far, I'm even happier than when I was before. :D

It wasn't that we broke up because of a lack of trust. We simply broke up because... well... I guess I was a dog, to be blunt. I had wayyyyy too many females texting me late at night and trying to invite themselves over for me to stay faithful. I didn't cheat with her, but I definitely broke it off because there was too much temptation -- I think she knows this and respected me for that.

We still kicked it for a month after the break up while I was out smanging other girls, then one day I just kind of stopped putting the yambs on a pedestal. I thought about it for like a week and concluded that while chasing after these other girls was fun and made me feel like a bawse, they just weren't up to par with my girl in terms of intellect, cooking skills...all the things we tend to overlook during the initial chase.

It's just my luck that I found a female that is wife material at such a young age. *Kanye shrug.*

I feel you, but then I have to remind myself that the ones saying that are probably younger or haven't hit that level.....I too once felt the way they did and then I turned 20 many years ago.
