washing selvege denim usually makes it stiffer... it allows the starch in the jeans to reactivate or something making them stiff again. You should have justworn them in

ignorance. I've seen other kats wear it and i never liked it so i never had a reason to buy it but i have the same pair in a different wash and i reallylike them. So i figured i would like the raw denim version.

i know im probably the wrong mofo to give you an answer but after doing some research i guss you can use both selvage or selvedge according to wikipedia. dontask me why because i dont even know how to spell it, i copied and pasted.
