Silas isn't smart enough to be a Boss. Middle management at best.
Shane clearly the smartest person on the show he's hanging out with the cop to see how things work from the inside so he can avoid getting caught And if he helps the cop with his son he could probably get a favor out of him.
None of this would matter since Nancy is a idiot...why not unplug the wire when every one was yapping? And why the hell was everyone sooo loose lipped around strangers anyway
