We never truly own a house ... But that's another conversation....

But you still have the ability to sell it and recoup money. You can’t sell an apartment.

Some people are good at maintenance, and some are not. It also depends on how you came up.

If you came up living in apartments, duplex, condo, etc then you probably aren’t use to living in a home.

I’ve always had a home. Childhood included. I’m use to a yard, backyard BBQs, my own room, etc.

I could never get use to living in an apartment or connected to another housing unit because I’m so use to living independently in a home.

So, I think it varies.

Having a nice lawn, driveway, and a big backyard is important to me

I had one but it’s only for the roads and we just gave it to the county. Taxes went up but no HOA so it’s whatever.

They’re taking our power and burying it so I like that.
