Your theory is all nice and good making the assumption that the "goals" you set up for men/women are true or accurate. Men are the chasers,typically. Women are "screening," typically. However, how can you say men aren't chasing after raunchy women? Men are still involved with the"screening" process because they choose what they chase. Men looking for some can just as easily go after a drunk, ugly, incoherent girl at a cluband claim that as a W?? Not IMO. Men that get a lot of women are only praised by men. The double standard is flawed...always will be as long asit's analyzed through male eyes.

Okay I skimmed this thread, so I'm probably gonna come off sounding stupid, but here's my opinion anyway.

As someone previously said, yes, we know there are double standards out there. Women know that if they sleep with a high number of partners that they will begiven the labels. I guess for a girl, it comes down to her morals. Knowing there is a double standard, a girl has to execute her own morality when it comestime to sleep with someone. If she chooses to sleep around and flaunt that fact, then that's on her. Apparently, she wants to wear the baggage that comeswith it.

Question: Would you rather your wife be a girl that slept with a low number of people or a girl that was the campus go-to porn guide?

Do I think it's fair? No. I don't think that it's fair that men can sleep around and get the high fives, the PIMP status, etc. But, at the sametime, a lot of girls aren't going to settle down and marry a "pimp" because I'll be honest. It's not so much the number of partners myS.O. has had, it's about the quality of relationship that he had with them prior to sleeping with them.

I probably didn't make any sense at all. If not, just act like I didn't post. LOL.

I didn't say it was a bad thing. It shouldn't take a double standard to help you have self control ( not saying thats you).

It isn't the primary reason, but I view it as an added incentive.

Well when I was saying Men chase, I didn't mean that they specifically chase loose booty. I meant that it's generally accepted as theirobligation to pursue Women. The goal is to get Girls to have them, be it for the moment or forever.

Now typically Women don't praise Men for the number of stripes on his belt, but I regularly hear Women compliment Men on their game. Game is just how wellthe Man can chase.

The biology that defines both men and women technically justifies the double standard, but that doesn't mean that it's a valid and sufficientreason to uphold it.

People, in general, tend to not pick their noses. It is considered by most to be unhygienic and gross. At an early age, we also learn that if we pick ournoses and someone sees us, we'll probably be teased. So while the fact that we'll be teased isn't the primary reason that we don't pick ournoses, it gives us an added incentive to not do so.

hmm... i do agree with the way things are, i personally dont think that women should be around sleeping around as much as some men do... hell idont even understand why some men sleep with as many women as they do... i personally cant do it, i cant sleep with someone i dont care about at least on somelevel...
