title explains it all.. whos better? ronaldo (the great r9 of brazil), ronaldinho (jar jar binks with the magic touch) or ronaldo (cristi, the portugesetreasure)? i vote r9 all the wayy.. in his time, fastest off a break away strongest on the ball & impeccable at finishing. but lets see what nt has to say!opinions? thoughts?

Ronaldo is/was a pure striker

Ronaldinho is an attacking midfielder

well my friend says cristiano ronaldo is the best, & i said hes the best right now but hes not the REAL ronaldo.. implying that r9 is the better one. sobasically whoever wins at the end of the day in this forum gives one of us bragging rights . haha. plus ive always wanted to know wat ppl think about this& where is the best place to find that out than on a forum?

i see where ur coming from with the whole different roles thing but c ronaldo has played up top & im pretty sure its a fact to say he'd be a powerfulforce at forward.. but i guess u can say im asking is who was the best overall in their positions & accomplishments.

Well, Ronaldo has the most honors by far. Two World Cups, a number of FIFA player of the year awards, etc. He was a beast goal scorer in his prime.

Ronaldinho has had a great, legendary career too, but I have a feeling C. Ronaldo will surpass him with honors (except C. Ronaldo will NEVER win a World Cup)

i think ya'll can guess my answer from my sn/avy. honestly though, i dont really think theres a contest. ronaldo in his prime was untouchable. 3 careerthreatening injuries and dude is still possibly the greatest of all time. he had everything; amazing shot, unparalleled dribbling/first touch, and dude couldburn down the sidelines. no contest. hes making the comeback right now for corinthias, and hes showing flashes of his old self. im pulling for an SA 2010 comeback.

haha as much as id love to see ronaldo in the 2010 world cup so he can play in his 5th world cup, i doubt itd happen. dunga seems to be pretty strict. plusronaldo has to compete with luis fabiano who showed in the confederations cup that hes a first class forward, despite how long it's taken him to get there.& we cant forget robinho is there to occupy the other forward position. i also doubt ronaldo still has the drive & determination to train himself backto world cup level. he even changed cleats! haha.

if you take accomplistments into consideration then R9 is the best of the 3, no question asked but his career is also winding down whereas CR7 is still athis peak and have a lot more years ahead of him barring no career ending injury (touch wood).

you'll also have to consider that R9 has gone through 3 threat of career ending injury and still has the motivation to come back and put in goalsdespite all the critisicism. so i do think he sitll has the motivation for a curtain call for SA 2010. will a year at corithians be long enough for him toachieve that, probably not and he would need to get signed by a some top flight teams in europe in order for dunga to give him a shot.

as for R10, well it was amazing while it lasted but dude fell off hard from the limelight after a bad injury prone season at barca. he's sitll prettygood at AC and will be probably be called up for 2010 but him at the top was short lived.

all in all, R9 is the best right now in terms of his body of work, but CR7 still have some time to catch up. also to answer the question who's the bestright now in the world, i would say messi.

^^ ppl ppl ppl. cmon. messi is a far 3rd to cristi! to compare messi to God is disrespectful. c ronaldo is so much more well rounded than messi. he scoresFREQUENT headers, is better at free kicks, is faster w/ & w/out the ball, & has nicer cleats.

he's not even better than mister ricardo kaka's overall game intelligence is amazing, has that zico aura to him.. imo he barely & so CLOSELYsurpasses ribery, jus because weve yet to see ribery do anything with his head.

well IMO messi impacts the game more than c.ronaldo. just my opinion, i think messi is more important to barca than c.ronaldo was to united.
yeah c.ronaldo scores more but he takes all the penatly and freekicks (was just talking about this the other day with my friend on CR7's brilliant seaosn 2season ago) for united. dude plays around with the ball too much sometimes for his own good and the whining and diving is not a good sight haha.
messi is more direct nd yes i'll also take kaka over cr7 as well

& wttm-i disagree with u when u say that messi was more important to barca than cristi was to man u. cristi not only created plays, but finished them aswell. if messi didnt have xavi & iniesta playing him the ball play after play i doubt hed have that many goals. i also think that cristi thrives underpressure. & IMO (once again IMO) i think messi is a bit of a choker.. yah he usually gets the goal but i feel other than the goals he scores (which reallyarent as much as he should be) he does absolutely nothing.

I know it was only one game but the Champions League final kind of disproves what you are saying. Messi played well in a big game and scored witha header. Obviously know one was around but it looked like he knew what he was doing. Plus I mean Messi is small, no reason for him to be in the air.
