i believe he can load up the bar and basically do a board press but without the board. he already said he doesn't touch his chest with the bar. it'll look something like this:



to me, it doesn't count but i'm fat so who cares.

Below parallel I'd say.

I honestly don't see how he can bench 225 or whatever he said at 125 unless he is like 5ft 2 and built like a pitbull.
 
I honestly think it's more difficult to bring the weight to a controlled stop before it hits your chest. I think a rep really depends on the individual. I had a friend that was no taller than 5'6"-5'7" with little t-rex arms and a barrel chest that knocked out 465 with EASE but the bar only moved 4". If I got on the bench with my lanky *** and moved the bar 4" I'd be laughed at but its the exact rep he just did.
 
Yeah I mean I got a friend who is 120 and can bench 225 for days and squat 315. He's also 5ft2 and every pound of him is solid muscle...
