STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Definitely not controversial but I dont know about better than him in every way. Aside from abdominal, where was Rhoden killing Phil?

Rhoden indeed came conditioned but even with that it was a fairly close matchup. Rhoden's back compared to phils looks bad. Phil's arms are bigger so in some poses that stood out. The chest and legs are pretty much even. Truthfully, his gut ruined him. I'm glad he lost tho. Cant be letting people who arent conditioned win.

Roelly is a bit blocky..but he comes in hard...has the size. Has the muscle. ..best arms in the business. I think his legs are the only thing holding back. .

Heath just did an instagram video...has the words saying to come back...but didnt confirm he would.
Rhoden is a better ambassador. He was right in his interview. Heath stays in his state most of the time. He'll do some tours to schools and conferences. But you dont see him at other body building shows typically nor do you see him doing press runs like kai did

Roellys back and legs need work and always has. His posing needs work as well

I dont disagree, roelly's back is better than Rhodens. I actually think all the other top 4 had more detailed back then Rhoden.. Rhoden's symmetry is better than theirs tho.
I'm a huge Roelly fan, just watched the top 5 get their rewards and real talk it was touching seeing him get that 3rd.. it was really touching watching him win Arnold Australia.
Watching Rhoden get that W tho... the crowd went wild. I think Phil looked great, i also don't think he losses to Rhoden in much. but Rhoden's symmetery was just super on point this year.
Phil may have the best rounded chest. but Rhodens, was nice and blocked as well. (not typically a chest of a black man either who usually has that round drop off tyype chest).
Phill has bigger proportions than Rhoden in just about every category, but phill just isn't as symetteric as he once was. Phil still has the body, he just needs to come in Harder and more symettric like his first 2 years.
Phil was looking like he was giving it his all out there tho he was winded.. the best shot i saw was phill breathing hard about to die. and Rhoden has his classic hands on hip just looking at him lol .

But now that the Ramy big blocky factor is gone that judges are looking for next year's olympia will be very interesting.
Cederic mc millian looked good this year too, but always looks a little soft.. if he brings that 6'1 massive frame and cut his stuff down he'd be straight. but I think he's one of the few body builders with an actual 9-5.

Rhoden definitely has one of the more aestherically proportioned bodies seen in a while up there. If he keeps it up and works on his back, he has the next few Olympias. He is 43 tho so I dont know how long he can hold it up.

Roelly looked great still. His arms are insanely massive. He just needs to work on his conditioning and his back and legs. If Phil is done, I definitely think he can win one within the next 3 years.

With Rhoden winning, I hope it brings in a new precedent Come conditioned or expect to lose.

Absolutely unless Big ramy brings that 2017 package back, and bring that 2017 package tighter than it was he stands no chance anymore.. he'll have to drop that 310 to about 290 to even be considered.

Next year will be a dog a fight.. But this is why I love the Arnold that's coming up in 2 weeks. I love Arnold Europe and Arnold USA.
but the Europe one we see more international talent which is coming up.
but a lot of the bodybuilders in Olympia didn't peak.
Dexter looked great but he wasn't dry or hard enough. if he does Arnold Europe, I can see him getting top 3.
Bonac wasn't completely dry I can see him winning as well.
or Brandon Curry who looked phenomenal and scary big.
So a lot of these dudes may peak there. Arnold EU will be a dog a fight. I'm glad Roelly got top 3 also because he can take more time off to fix himself up.

Olympia and Arnold always revs me up to hit it harder in the gym.
i've gained like 3 more pounds on my clean bulk this month saw that 210 yesterday and was like..hmmmm maybe I should cut it down now. but Looking at my body I look fuller and not as sloppy as my 210 after my injury last year..so I think i'll try to bump it no heavier than 215

My dieting hasn't worked out well the last year because im always constanly dieting so, so far this year I've kept my eating up instead of diet 6 months bulk 6 months. trying to bulk at least 9 good months and it's been doing me some good I have my water spill over days where i feel blah. but today i feel great.
Separated my work outs so instead of 5 days on 2 days rest. Im doing 2 days on 1 day rest 3 days on 1 day rest. Rest days are lower carb days witih a little cardio in. I think this is keeping my fat down a little more. but i feel great look fuller. can't wait to shread this up next year.
I have a wedding to go to in July in Brazil.
So thinking i'll give myself a 12 week cut. (i'd do 16 but no point of me dropping that low)

Just need to rearrange

These mats are exactly what I'm looking for. Where did you cop?

I have an old carpet down it's definitely time to retire it. Nasty to say the least.

Shin splints are the worst right now. Hurt myself about a week and a half ago to two weeks ago and can't really recover because of all of the walking at school and work. Good thing its a somewhat forgiving area when working out. Was able to work out without much pain.

Always had tight hammys

Got some bands and did a couple sets of lying hammy stretches with the band's. Mannnn front squatting afterwards felt so much better. Firm was on point

Just need to keep my stretches up through the week so I can get better flexibility

Bench 125
Squat 150
Deadlift 150

I didn't lift for about three weeks and lost some weight. Bench dropped from 135 and isn't going back up but the other two are improving. I am trying to eat more

What accessory excercises do you guys do to hit your triceps. I feel like presses aren’t hitting them enough.

I usually like to couple an exercise that gets my arm over head like an overhead tricep extension and one that gets me behind the body like a pushdown with a long rope. That way I get the tricep in it’s max stretched position and shortened position.

Or I’ll go real heavy on one and then rep out with a band. Plenty you can do. Just keep in mind you really can’t get away from elbow extensions. Play with the position of the shoulder, tempo, weights, supersets, and things of the like.

Another one of my favorites is a tricep Extension in the smith machine. Good way to play with angles and it gets your arm over head in that stretch position. Then ou can either rep out with a band or rest.

I like doing different variations with the rope, push downs, behind the head, over the head and also skull crushers. Close grip bench press is the king. in my opinion though, not OD stupid close like newbs do but right in line with the shoulder or just a nut hair inside. Switch up between heavy sets of 5-8 and rep work of 12-15 and they will blow up and increase your bench.

if you have access this is prolly the meat of my tricep routine (coupled in with all the cable accessory lifts mentioned above)

I haven’t been doing barbell bench press because, unfortunately, im at planet fitness right now. But ill sucknit it and do these in the smith machine. Totally forgot about this all because i havent been benching.

Thanks fellas!
