PICTURED: Savannah chiropractor accused of leaving woman, 28, paralyzed after 'snapping four arteries in her neck' as Georgia Southern graduate's mother says she's starting to regain some movement in her leg and arm - and gave her a thumbs up

Yea... Another reason why I have nevered trusted a chiropractor

as far as i know, there is no basis for it actually being an effective treatment for much of anything…the placebo affect/effect of the human mind is real tho, so maybe that is the main utility of most of alternative medicine. it sucks because people that go for these alternatives usually either can’t afford or have not been able to solve their issue with conventional medicine…

while I understand the concern regarding this form of medical practice, it does hold true with any forms of medical practices. be it pharmacists giving the wrong medication or doses, doctors performing or misdiagnosing conditions and others. not trying to defend the malpractice but rather saying that it is a risk regardless of which medical practice is performed. that is why we are always given waivers if ever certain issues arises. of course, this is different from total negligence which pretty much void the waiver safeguard.

it is tough getting a competent doctor, dentist, physiologist, chiropractor and others. in my entire history of going to chiropractors, I have only encountered 2 out of 10 practitioners that were able to fix my problems.

granted modern science has yet to have a complete/full understanding of the body and there might indeed be some forgotten wisdom in ancient/alternative/traditional medicinal practices but thing is with chiropractors, what even constitutes ‘malpractice’ when the whole practices is questionable?

it is also highly political. remember that the said practice must get the nod of the medical science board, so it's not like the board itself is looking after the welfare or well-being of the patient 100%. drugs for example needs to get approval as well. for me, all medical practice should work hand in hand with each other rather than which one works best. with my pinched nerve issues, conventional medicine didn't do crap with it rather than prescribed pain medications.

Been lookin washed like sneeker sneeker lately.. been wearing an ankle brace the past 2 days too. No major injury it just felt off and painful in some directions. I can feel it correcting itself slowly.

Right groin feeling better. Tomorrow morning is a go.

All good bro it’s the long term trends that matter.

I had a stagnant week this last week, gonna enjoy my Friday and Saturday night and tighten things up this week.

TLDR: Basically it's a lot harder for some people than others. Still a choice, but some people have some really tough hurdles to overcome.

My 2 biggest fitness goals were always to do a triathlon and a 100 mile bike ride
Hopefully my knee stays good and maybe one day I’ll get there..
As I’ve lost my weight I’ve dabbled with the idea of doing a spartan race or one of them thangs

Anyone here done one? How was it? My only issue is as of right now I do 0 running lmao

i’ve done a few spartan races, did the trifecta one year. been a few years though. you don’t really need to be strong just good lungs and the ability to push through when tired

I like that. Do you think I need to run to prep?

Started doing incline DB chest presses the last couple weeks but I’m feeling it way more in my delts and upper back than my chest, I must be doing something wrong
Maybe I’m leaning too far back? Arms flailing out too much, need to tuck in my elbows more?

Are you not activating or engaging your chest more during your presses? Try puffing or tucking in your elbow closer than wide.

What angle you got the bench set at?

Tried doing both 45 and about 30 degree angles, ended up doing most of my sets at 30

I feel like 45 might be more of a shoulder press than a chest press. 30 should be good tho, try 15 if 30 you still feel it more in your shoulders. Might be form also. Maybe record a set and rewatch it see what youre doing/not doing?

My gym is tiny and only has 1 rack.
Dude here is benching 65 pounds in the rack. And to make it worse it looks like he's doing sets of 3...

I'm not one to shame or anything, but wouldn't he be better off just using DBs to build up strength first?

Not gonna say anything to him though cause I don't wanna be a ****.
