STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Liquid grip is great. I haven't failed once since I've used it. Hit all my max lifts with it.
I also hit 315 yesterday on deads... Only twice tho

That's also why I do legs and then dl on back day a couple days later

I had been stuck on 275 for awhile, and now I realized my grip had been failing after too many sets prior.

Is the liquid chalk as good as reg chalk? I need to get one or the other... Just wondering if the convenience of no mess is worth it
you guys dont use straps when you deadlfit?? i cant imagine not using them, espcially when getting up in weight

How long did you tear it? I got a grade 3 ligament tear in my right ankle a year ago and I didn't do any running for about 3 months. I tore it playing soccer. Started messing with Crossfit first and didn't play soccer until about 6 months after I tore it. It was a pretty bad tear

Stage 2 was in the cooler at work slipped with the ankle planted ..... I should have just fell...

Long

Nope. I started out never using them for that reason. To develop my grip. Its not a bad thing to use them at all though. Just what I chose.

Looking to pull 600 in about a month. So it'll be a test for my grip and the liquid haha

I personally want to see how high I can get raw before going with straps. I don't isolate forearms at all so it's my best forearm exercise as well.

*edit* 600? ******g beast

Anyone do back and legs WITHOUT deadlifts?

I hurt my lower back awhile back doing them and I'm really not too interested in doing them again. Anyone have any suggestions on exercises that can replace deadlifts?
I hurt my back a while back too doing DLs.  it's possible to do all types of back and leg workouts and still develop muscle, but you shouldn't eliminate DLs entirely.  Instead of going up in weight when it's DL time, do more rep.  135lb DLs 20x is still as effective as doing 225lbs 10x.  IMO

Also stretch your back (cat stretch, lying on a medicine ball) and do lower back workouts like good mornings and back extensions.  It'll help.

How do you guys feel about Muscle Pharm?
Both combat powder and assault are good products. In terms of a Preworkout, assault is nice because its easy on caffeine and gives you some good creatine. What I will say about combat powder is that it's really unnecessary and pretty expensive when you break it down per serving. Just stick with Optimum Gold Whey and if you want the added casein just mix your whey with milk.

any of you guys calorie count to drop weight?  I was introduced to www.myfitnesspal.com and it's pretty legit in helping you track your weight loss goals.

I use this and it's great. If you're serious about your diet and making sure you hit your macros, this is the way to do it. The database with foods is insane. I almost never have to manually enter something.

Dog I'm whylin.im 5.8 -about 190. I let my gut turn into a beer belly, but I'm not fat fat. I old Easley run off the gut. My thing is ******* still love me and some even like it. Would I feel better doin it for me? Is it even worth the time and energy? Could I just work arms out neck shoulders all uppers and kind even out the stomach, what do the experts think

Ya tried that haha I'll figure it out and show 495 500 520 n 565

and here i tho i was doing big with my 365 raw for 3 reps.... good work man

Thanks man. But that is some weight youre pulling. Just keep working at it and don't doubt yourself. I've found dead lifts are so mental. Once you step in its all business

We have hand sanitizers at my gym. When my grip is lacking sometimes, I put a little bit on my hands, and rub em together. It makes gripping the bar easier for a set, or two.

Thanks for the info.

assault is a poorly priced preworkout. most people need a full scoop so calculate the cost per serving from there. if you want a lighter stimmed preworkout, make yourself a cup of instant coffee or look at san fierce domination or maybe the new white flood that's coming out.

i love assault, even the price. ive tried a couple preworkouts and with every single one of them ive had to step up the dosage towards te end of my cycle. assault has been the only one where ive never had to change the dosage. 1/2 scoop and it still gives the same focus and energy of anything ive ever taken

I have stomach bloating and discomfort this morning........

my hands are usually the first go, but i kinda have smaller hands than most guys. i used to wear small football gloves back in hs.

sometimes on back day ill leave the straps out to work on my grip, but i need them for DL so my hands dont break!
