You do not need that many grams of protein... up your fat intake. Roughly a gram per body weight for protein is enough. What are your carb sources?Yo I am failing at this clean bulk. Eating 3000 calories and losing strength. I have no problem bumping it up but I'm already eating 210 grams of protein a day at 170lbs. Ive tried adding more carbs but my I just bloat up and get real sluggish. Advice?
Side note: Should the protein still be the biggest thing on the plate even when bulking?

Yeah it's nothing to lose sleep about... but you could use those macros for more carbs or fat. If they are making you sluggish I would space the servings out more? Just play around with meal timing a bit until you find a happy medium with your body.To be honest it's not even intentional. I am just trying to eat clean and while trying to keep my macros in check thats what my protein intake has averaged. And apparently I am aroudn 175. I thought I lost more weight than I did.
As far as carbs - I stick to oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice and wheat bread (only when I dont have time to cook)

I personally think that's a little excessive. I'm a hard gainer and in order to gain I need extra cals, usually from carbs, to put on weight.I always thought 1 g of protein per body weight was minimum? Hard gainers are supposed to sit at like 1.5, no ?
It's all relative if you're a natty... you'll be peeing out all the extra protein. There are multiple studies out there that say that 1g per body weight is sufficient enough though.I always thought 1 g of protein per body weight was minimum? Hard gainers are supposed to sit at like 1.5, no ?

Ever feel like you're havig an off day at the gym ? Like literally I can't lift 135 more than 10 times while I'm doing incline . Maybe it's because I only got 3 hours of sleep last night .
I always feel like a boss at the gym.....
Flourish my brother flourish!!I want to throw a shout out to Big Boss.
been doing his suggestions. I know last week I said I did 285 for 8 with knee wraps.
decided to try it again no wraps. got it for 8
Then decided to throw 300 on there and squat 4 times.
I want 365 1 rep max by New Years.
same with me man, I think some people are just not meant for powerliftingSaw my friend (whos down a couple physique competitions) post a video on IG of him squatting 455-485-500. Hes not even huge, 6 foot 200lbs and he looks brolic slim.
And just a few days ago I blew out my back doing 225.
