Yeah, my degree is in geology but my job is more in the engineering realm. I'm a field geologist for a civil engineering firm, so I do mostly rock andsoil sampling/classification, drilling, groundwater observation wells, and other geotech stuff.
I hear you on the lack of real geology positions. Do you work for an environmental firm, or do you do your own thing?
