I thought First class was ok when I saw it in theaters. But not so long ago I watched it again at home and couldn't stand it.

and this
It wasn't the continuity, I don't really mind that at all. It's just Magneto was so far and away better than anything else in the movie. And everything outside of him felt disjointed and aimless with some badly written dialogue in there, up and down acting and sometimes really bad special effects. Mystique..Sometimes Prof. X is straight, others he's just annoying as hell. Kevin Bacon was really good, but January Jones (Emma Frost) is such a bad actress. She ruins almost every scene she talks in. Lenny Kravitz's daughter sucks and Beast was okay. I liked the other kids, but their big battle at the end was so bad.
Like if they stuck with the plan and just made a straight up Magneto origin movie, that would've been amazing, but instead they squeezed it down and made it the b-plot of a whatever X-Men prequel. And then they basically ran through what the next 2 First Class movies are supposed to be in the last half hour, so what do they do now?
This. I was one of the skeptics who never saw this in theaters because I never gave it a chance. And then I saw this on dvd and I wasOriginally Posted by ConductZero
I thought all the other X-Men movies were pretty lame but I was blown away by First Class and I don't even like X-Men like that.
Yea man...To me, dude is basically just Cyclops from the X-Men movies. Chis Evans does a good job, but dude's already handicapped, being the weakest one of the big names. Then add on that he's up against RDJ, Sam Jackson, Ruffalo who killed that role and Hemsworth who's casted perfectly.Originally Posted by Frank Mucus
Did anyone else think Captain America kinda sucked between the rest of the cast. He just seemed sort of emotionless.
What do you mean more important? I don't think we watched the same movie. Cap was instrumental in making The Avengers a team. He brought the classic heart and soul that makes The Avengers who they are.Originally Posted by MrONegative

Even Black Widow and Hawkeye were more important to the movie than him.

That put the global tally at an incredible $641.8M with the super hero squad set to shatter the $1 billion worldwide mark as early as next Sunday.
Aye can somebody help me out with that scene i was explaining #@%* to my girl and missed it.(always askin questions during a movieOriginally Posted by big1236
Saw it last night and absolutely loved the movie!
I'll probably see it again in theaters, and that's saying alot with me watchin every dollar i spend and ticket prices going up every single week.
I loved all the subtle jokes that were in the flick (the nicknames Stark gave people - 'point break', legolas, etc to the $10 Cap gave Fury)...
I'm not in deep in comics as i was when i was younger, but I wouldn't mind seeing a cameo here n there... LOL
