you could argue that it isn’t the ‘job’ as sports writers in previous eras had all kinda knowledge about the goings on in regards to the behind the scene’s but did not feel compelled to put stuff like that ‘on the record’ that time is probably long gone tho…that noted it’s not, not the job either as it does pertain to the sport, has serious ramifications, & possibly starts an interesting discussion around player compensation/salary caps

i get it…man could/should have seen this plays out. acknowledging/stating that, it does appear that she was, if not double talking, not sure about the lifestyle she actually wanted or put differently wanted to preserve optionality…saying he could have made a ‘better’ choice that was more suited to want & where he wanted to go might be an understatement…but i think, to some extent, this is a lot of women; the difference is mostly in degree not necessarily in kind
