Does this exist?  Couldnt find anything in the search history.

So, i'm a pretty poor eater, and have been all my life.  Diet consists of Frozen and boxed.. pretty much everything(Pizzas, Fries, Chicken) etc etc. I'm not aesthetically unhealthy, as I have a crazy fast metabolism, however I want to get in a mode where I start eating healthier.

Is it possible to eat healthy, and still have the food taste good(i know this is a bit subjective, but answer as best as you can i suppose).  Also, for those that eat relatively healthy, what is it that you all eat on the regular?  What do you snack on? Is everything cooked, and pre-planned for the week?

Do you read the labels for certain ingredients to avoid?  I guess im not sure what eating healthier means, aside from cutting out salts, and eating veggies.

So i'm looking for a solid starting point, and not really sure where to go.

A lot of healthy dieting is discussed in the fitness thread.

I never get anything from the frozen food section.
look at the ingredients. .....

Chips are bad for u too. Its like 7 grams of fat but look at the serving size.

Cook your own meat and vegetables and it can be very delicious as well as healthy.
I eat alot of eggs but more white than yellow.
Popcorn is a good snack or chex mix.
Tortillas is a good snack and homemade salsa is easy and has alot of different variations.

Water is key as well.
I use that mio water enhancer and mix a pitcher up so ill drink more water...tastes better.

That fitness thread is hella thick tho

I think this should focus on preventative maintenance....

Preventing prostate, liver, lung and all the various cancers...

Keeping young skin etc ... Not only working out

Quality thread,

The fitness thread has a lot of good info but, is a lot to go thru.

I cook a lot of chicken (breasts, boneless thighs) in various marinades, veggies, pastas.

Really big on fresh fish.

Eggs are a must. You can make an omelette out of damn near anything. Nice filling 15-20 min meal.

BUY FRESH VEGGIES AND MEATS. FIND YOUR NEAREST FARMERS MARKET AND START MAKING FRIENDS.

Go to www.yummly.com and sign up.

Frozen fruit with ice cream and granola is the GOAT healthy dessert.

I cook just about every day. I don't do meal planning, I make what I want when I feel like making it.

And I try to avoid red meat and swine but in moderation they seem okay to me. Sometimes you just can't turn down them ribs.

Also get your seasoning game up and cop a digital meat thermometer. You'll never overcook your meat again.

I heard some bad things about Mio and those drink enhancers. I was one that wave for a while too, but then I just started mixing my water with lemon.

cop a reverse osmosis water purifier to start. then cut out soda completely.  if you must drink coffee keep it to a minimum and drink it black with little to no sugar if you can handle it. fresh squeezed fruit juices during the day  preferably before 1pm (depending on what time you wake up) and tea at night.

from what i understand drinking water with lemon 1st thing in the morning balances your ph and gets your alkalinity right.

OP I think you should shop at Trader Joes and cook your own meals. Been meaning to make a trader Joes gems thread. Just portion your meals and eat your three meals a day with snacks.

Ma dukes put me on cooking with a bamboo steamer. Joint is legit with fish and veggies and is very healthy. I season the fish and vegetables well and it's pretty tasty. She said it works with chicken as well but I haven't tried it yet

My dad told me a great way to lose weight was to fry everything in pig fat

Eat real, unprocessed foods. Buy organic produce. Eat stuff like quinoa. Go to Whole Foods, get yourself some ancient grain cereal. Eat hemp seeds. Start juicing a little or making smoothies. It's easy to eat well. Stop worrying about taste and do what's in your best interest. No food, no matter how good it tastes, is worth you suffering over.

:rollin That's messed up dog.

Will keep lurking this thread. Been thinking about changing up my lifestyle food wise, always either eating trash or over eating when I get a healthier choice.

Learn to cook, op.

Smoothies are awesome and quick to make.

Be careful with organic fruits/veggies they rot FAST! If you don't use them it's a waste of money. :{

Develop a flavor profile and go from there.

Honestly, when you see how much you save from eating out you'll be happy about that too.
