Goff was one of the top QBs but a lot of people still didn't think he was the best player in the draft or should go one. He had plenty of cons and scouts thinking otherwise.

Not gonna find a bigger Jameis fan than me but he needs to sit and work with coaches and watch. He doesn't have to learn from Glennon, he learns from coaches, players and tape throughout the league
how do you know he's not learning, what a stupid take

^ to be fair.. With wentz like a lot of prospects his stock went up once NFL coaches and scouts got around him at the senior bowl

Brees was the 32nd pick.. And I know kaep has regressed immensely.. But he did have some highs after sitting for the 9ers initially
We act like these guys go from amazing to garbage from a talent perspective (Kaep, RG3 etc.).  In reality it's usually the situation crumbling around them and they're not able to deal with that.

We saw Kaep as a star with the best possible situation and become a bad player in the worst possible situation over two seasons.

With an average situation maybe he's still a middling quarterback.  I doubt his skill level has changed that much.

Thought chip would be good for him because his offense is supposed to force easy reads, which was/is his issue.. But dude has lost weight and supposedly had arm issues

What? Yes, I'm saying because he played his first year and didn't sit, he's not learning at all. What kind of ****** sense does that make?

QBs used to always sit, that was the norm. Then NFL got lucky with a few and started throwing them in. Jameis had a good year, I watched 11-12 of his games because I'm a big fan. His team went 6-10, let's not act like those stats he put up were groundbreaking and he took a team to the playoffs. He had a good year for a rookie but in this league and the way the rules favor QBs now, a lot of QBs can come into this league and put up numbers.

Jameis was more pro ready than Mariota. He definitely should have sat but I prefer all QBs sitting a year. That's just my opinion.

Jameis was pro ready

MM8 probably should have sat IMO

2800/19/10, 7 YPC in 12 games as a rookie but he should've sat? :lol

7th in the entire league in accuracy under pressure but should've sat?

8th best in throws between 11-20 yards but he should've sat?

Alright man, we obviously just see this topic differently.

We definitely see it differently. I think Luck and Bob should have sat as well.

As for Kaep, I said that last year. He was regressing but Kaep had an AWFUL line and he had beef with the front office and he had a coach that had no business being a head coach. He was in a real bad situation last year. That's why I was DYING for him to go to Denver this year. He needed to get out of there.

Anyone know why he can't wear a tint visor? I heard them saying he's waiting for it to get approved. Vick wore one, how hard can it be to get approved and why should it even have to be approved.

who cares? he got killed behind that o-line and had to be shut down for a knee injury

you need to look at the bigger picture instead of forcing your opinion

But situation doesn't mean anything. It's all about the Quarterback. That's what this very thread been slingin for years. Now we takin other factors into consideration? Word?

Any time you can trade multiple picks across multiple drafts to draft a backup, you gotta do it. While limiting the talent you can put around him to boot. That's exactly how you develop a QB.

Luck was a in a terrible situation with the talent on that team and the guy who was putting it all together

With rg3 needed to learn how to not relay on his legs.. And actually read NFL defenses.. He got thrown to the wolves like Steve young did in Tampa, luckily young did have serious serious injuries

No I just disagree with your actual evaluation of situations and quarterback play, not the basis for it.

Sure, sure.

So I state facts and you talk about esoteric **** like o-line play (which still wouldn't have gotten better if he sat or not).

Alright man.

This whole convo was about looking at the big picture, the more reps a QB gets, the more he learns.

Don't know why this concept is so foreign to you, they can still watch tape and talk to coaches while getting actual reps.

NFL concussion protocol bars it. They want to be able to see your eyes w/o having to take off your helmet in case there may be a neck injury. If I am not mistaken

he was sacked 38 times in 12 games

I don't care what stats he put up, you draft a potential franchise QB to be your QB for 10+ years not win rookie of the year while getting murked

I can easily say last year could have set him back, I don't agree with your opinion and think you need to look at it on a case by case basis...not EVERY TOP PICK NEEDS TO START REGRADLESS

That would make sense. Is that for all players now? I remember Vick, Calvin and Tomlinson wearing them. I can't think of any QBs other than Vick though.

I just love that the Rams were pretty classless in the way they mocked Washington after the RG3 trade and his injury and now they made the same trade for a QB who might be even worse...

What did you miss about the o-line not being any better than it was last year?

They drafted a rookie at LT and signed a below average C.

You're missing the point entirely.

Talking about judging it on a case by case basis yet I've broken down each case with #'s and you over here talking about "it worked with McNabb". :lol

But whatever man, think what you want.

Karma comes at you fast.

what point am I missing? I don't agree with ALL top pick QB's needing to start so I am missing the point when I am actually stating I don't agree with your point

you look at it black or white, no gray area allowed

Your argument was he should've sat because the O-Line was bad.

How does that make any sense?

They didn't upgrade the line much I. the offseason really but you would feel better with him starting now?

You don't see how that makes no sense?

He wouldn't have the reps that he already has now and would still have a bad O-Line.

Similar to what you want with Wentz.

Man i just read we rested 28 players ..............

Lions rested players too. Good luck this season.

The Collector on that franc "chest out, nuts out" steez after this preseason :rollin

Someone link me to the Kaep presser, please.

Cowboys were trying to trade up for Conner Cook in the draft. Hahahaha, we remember.

dope. really am impressed :hat
