I think Griffey has been on record saying that he'll never play for the Yanks, but it would be real hard seeing the Kid play for another AL West team. Butdeep down inside I don't really care who he plays for as long as he gets that ring. I can't think of anyone that deserved a World Series ring more thanthe Kid except Cal Ripken Jr.

Yankee Stadium was not a welcoming environment for the young Griffey. He remembers no Family Day, when players' children romp around the field before a game. The clubhouse was strictly off limits.

There is a well-known tale of one of Griffey's few childhood visits. The manager, Billy Martin, scolded Ken Sr. because his sons were playing in the tunnel outside the clubhouse. Abruptly and profanely, the fun was over.

Griffey has always remembered the insult, but insisted he never used it as motivation.

glad they chose this colorway but I don't like the midsole and air unit selection on these
