"The Last Dance" Michael Jordan & Chicago Bulls Docuseries

What the hell??? I’m came here to see what people think of the Doc and this is what I see? Damn shame. I usually don’t get involved with threads in the General section of NT because it’s Meths area but this is out of control.
this thread needs to get back on track. All posts that are not about The documentary will be deleted and the members will be banned from the thread, and if it still continues the thread will be locked.
but the posts started from the doc
and the words of mj
him dry snitching
and talking about scottie money
mj kinda being a snake
and not speaking up
for black folks
started this discussion
which all stems from the doc
to just up and delete posts
without reading through them all and getting the context
would be unfair
especially since the discussion started yesterday
and has spanned pages

i think u guys and other mods
should have a talk before deciding
what to delete and who to ban
look over all deleted posts and posters
and posts still here THEN decide
because it seems like u will be sweeping valid posts and points
made on race which is also a point in the doc
under the rug

im a Knicks fan but nah wouldnt want that either lol... i like when guys win and stay with 1 team their whole career... it shows they want to win with their team on their own terms and just have that loyalty like duncan, kobe, dirk etc

I feel you on that but MJ coming back to the Bulls was not going to happen. That’s why I would’ve liked to see him on a franchise he had connection to. NY because of his birthplace and Charlotte because of his home state.

I was not in this thread earlier. I just stopped in and noticed the thread was a train wreck. I only deleted a couple posts that had been flagged.
I said what I have to say and that what I’m going to do.

Amazing at how calling out Jordan for his "dry snitching" basically evolved into this ramble.............I mean guys, it's clear Jordan "dry snitched" in the documentary

The topic of racism can go here https://niketalk.com/threads/racism-in-sports.681001/unread
Please keep the posts about the documentary thanks.
Racism is being addressed in the documentary, as the Craig Hodges situation will be addressed, and Jordan spoke of his upbringing while being Black in North Carolina. Some of the posters feel that Jordan does not need to address politics, nor racial injustices. However, this is indeed a part of his legacy.

Ok I’m not trying to get into any kind of back and forth. I haven’t even see the documentary yet. All I was trying to do was get the thread back on track. If you want to talk about the racism that is in the documentary that’s fine. But that’s not the only subject in the documentary either.

I don't see why we can't talk about race and racism "the last dance" documentary definitely has touched on the topic about race and racism even from Michael Jordan himself has spoke on it in the documentary.
seems racism makes folks uncomfortable
even when folks are being civil about the discussion
but isnt discussion about racism
suppose to make folks uncomfortable
so that we can combat it

i can get
not seeing the doc
and then coming in here
and seeing where the topic is at
could have one questioning and deleting posts
BUT
wouldnt it be best before decided whats not on topic
and delete or ban folks
to actually see the doc before deleting and banning
so u can get context
to know that its apart of the doc
and im not tryna have a back and forth
or even put u on on the spot
im just asking a legit question
and i sound like a sucka right now
cause im having to explain
that im not tryna putting u on the spot
so u dont feel some type of way
and think im challenging u
when im not
just so i dont get a ban

I do not think that you can control the content of said doc, and what people choose to discuss from the documentary. As long as people are civil, there should be no problem. However, you do have one individual calling people names like Clown and Buffoon. Perhaps you can do something about that.

I guess I can report people for using names too. Good to know.

Nice shoes though.

This definitely doesn't need to be 10 episodes.

Hearing them breakdown Scottie's situation and his whole family was interesting.

Comedy watching MJ and Scottie bully that punk *** GM. Fool had his ego and lost his mind. Bulls would have won a few more if he didn't **** that up.

MJ going off to "I'm Bad" was the highlight of the night for me. Classic song.

Crazy telling a coach that just won a couple Finals this is his last season, even if he wins all 82 games. What a ****in moron. I wouldn't have any respect for him either.

Y'all really gotta knock off the MJ vs LeBron ****. Two different eras, two different players.

Interested in why you feel there doesn't need to be 10 episodes.

exactly, people don't like the ugly truth of how society in america was and still is.
As long as people are civil about the discussion i don't see any derailment, because the documentary is touching on everything we all go thru racism, competition teamwork etc.....

The thread was being flagged a bunch. I did delete the posts where he called people clown and buffoon. All I was doing was trying to calm it down. My bad

Racism is a problem in this country, and Jordan was not immune. I would have been banned if I had used such language, calling people names. I would expect the same would be extended in the other direction. Especially since that individual tried to thwart a very relevant part of discussion.

Thank you, all the best.

Oh good. maybe I should comb through another thread where he’s constantly using similar names. I didn’t know you could report name calling. I figured a mod would just tell me to practice using the ignore button. Good to know.

He was banned.

Crazy that we’re not allowed to talk about racism although it’s related to this documentary. Crazy times me live in. North Korea
That’s not what I meant. I definitely spoke before I did a good enough job figuring out what truly was going on. I do apologize for that.
I edited my post. Was just trying to keep the thread on track.

Just finished watching the first episode on the ESPN app. Didn't realize there's a TV-14 and a TV-MA version. Watched the TV-14 one but I'll be going MA from here on out.

Also I just realized how lucky I am to be born in Chicago in 85 and be able to see almost every professional team win their respective championship.
