here you doublejs07

This thread has me remembering a song from the early 2000's that I can't quite pinpoint.

It was by like 1 chick and 2 dudes.  It was probably a one hit wonder.  It had more of an R&B vibe to it.

It was kind of dark and was talking about a single chick getting raped, abusing drugs, slutting herself out and getting an abortion or something.

Came out around the same time as D12's "Purple Pills"...any help?

Word, and that wasn't even that long ago. Rappers were actually filming &@^# on locations in real
places, instead of standing in front of a green screen.

There's nothin like these types of female aimed songs that actually hit hard, and don't
make you straight gush with gummy bears.

SHWAP, I <3 you. Reminds me of the highschool days and this music just brings that wave of nostalgia of the good times. I love about every single song posted in this thread. My contributions:The song that spawned a serious crush on Prodigy.

This song right here.....Love it to death. Isn;t this one of the most expensive hip hop videos? Hype Williams.

This one right here...when it comes on in the club,house,car,wherever...I scream from excitement. Yes, I know it is Joe,which is R&B, but is collaborated with hip hop artists.

I forgot all about that Mobb love song.

I'm not gonna lie, I liked about half of these cuts, but still they were so formulaic.

Like it or not, Ja Rule changed the game for a few years.
