It makes plenty sense, for those of us who actually live it. I'm sorry, but their can be no "human unity" until all things are equal. We must all come to the table with equal rights, then an equal voice. As long as White privilege exists, there will be no "human unity"", not as long as "white thought" exists.

Most liberals have a pet project. It makes them feel as if they are doing good, with some not wanting a people to learn to "fish" on their own.

Point being, we didn't experience the same thing, not even under the similar circumstances. Black Culture in America is different than African culture. Ours is completely unique, as we had no home to call our own for more than 400 years. In Africa, you are home and you had invaders, which is totally different than what it is that we had to go through. Don't forget the African part in *sending us* here either. I have just as much beef with those responsible for that, just as I do with the clowns in the white hoods right here in America.

I am not "acting" like anything. I am a Black Man, descendant of slaves, then damned proud of it.

Wrong. That is supposed to be OUR thing, remember what you were complaining about how "we" do?

I haven't preached anything, nor do I wish to. I simply punch holes into your argument, which is against Black unity. You don't want that, remember? You want "human unity" before Black unity, which would simply leave BLACK people behind, due to the continued existence of white privilege, which is the real issue.

Black people cannot be racists, be we can be prejudiced. Am I prejudiced? Yup, you know it! I have a right to be, knowing the some people, due to the color of their skin, live with unlimited entitlement in this country due to the color of their skin, then around the world. In my suspicions, I am prejudiced. In my actions, I am human.

You don't want white people to think we're all the same, yet expect us to all act like some black "ideal" that you have defined and isn't necessarily universally accepted.
_______
It's no "act", it is a matter of consciousness. It's also not about what WHITE PEOPLE think. Who cares about what "they" think? We know what "they" think, and that is why they created "white". We need to know that no matter what, there are some who are going to want that privilege that is associated with being "white". By having our OWN identity and awareness, it wont matter what they feel they are entitled to. You need to stop worry about what "'they think", which is the reason you fear Black unity.

You see a bunch of brothers standing on the corner talking, you'd call them a "gang". You suggested that I speak with deep slang, I asked how did you know that I spoke that way, then you tucked tail and ran, never responding. Throughout your other responses you use the term "son", as if this makes you "hip". But you come off lame, especially when you are against the unity of those who gave you the dialect that you THINK will keep you current. I call people like you Brothers of convenience. Whenever there is a party, you are down. However, whenever racism is discussed, you side with those who have the power, suggesting "race card". Just look at your sig....

Black people are not monolithic, I have stated this before, but everything I type is based upon stereotypes? It is you who stated that you were raised amongst "liberal whites", not I! Don't try and pull it back now, you are from the 'burbs, not the 'hood! Be proud! You had a chance to be exposed to something, that many of us had no chance to see! However, you refuse to acknowledge that you are NOT the descendant of former slaves in this country, thus not having the same understanding of why some, perhaps most, do not share the same views as you, on the Black experience in America.

What this IS about, is the IMPACT that President Obama has had on Black men in America. For me, he has had an impact. For you, I am not so sure.
What I am sure about is that because of my own heritage and experiences, you and I will always see what is needed for OUR people, through a foggy lens.
Honest discussion, yup BLACK UNITY, may be the thing that might ad clarity.
