Hard to tell the condition of the watch in that pic. No not worth it to me. I'd give him $1000 max based on that pic.

Looks dusty as hell but if it's in good condition overall he'd be stealing it for $1000...no way you can expect that for a used Superocean.
I don't think $2200 is that great of a deal though, if he's really your boy he should give you a better price. Check eBay for comparable models and see what they're going for in that condition, keep in mind he'd have to pay like 15% between eBay & Paypal fees if he went that route.
