What is 18k gold going for on a Cuban? I want to make an offer on a chain that's 18k gold and has like 7ct vs diamonds. It's from a recognizable jeweler known here, so I'm not looking to just offer refinery prices. To me, the diamonds are near worthless as they are those tiny little stones that you will get almost nothing back for when you go to resell it, but I have to take them into account so I am looking for opinions.
As of right now, 18k is at about 82 a gram on the sell your gold sites, so let's say 140 grams would be like 11k. Do you think just offering, let's say, 100 a gram because it's in nice shape and from a reputable jeweler is fair? But what about the stones? 7ct vs. and I would most likely have to pay 10% tax on top of all this.

Is it new or preowned? They might not even want to negotiate if its new. I think 100 a gram is a fair offer
