yeah, i see no reason why not. That team can win 50.

..
speaking of Jeff, he's found some range...over 50% from 3 this year so far.

It's sad that us fans actually have to think that way, as well as the idiots who select the winners.

Question...

Cavs trade Wally + 1st for Vince Carter?

Good deal or bad?

Or should the Cavs be looking more for a big like Kaman or Wilcox?

Also heard JRich is in the mix...

Wally should be on the move soon...

I think Mo + Vince + LeBron would be tough...

I'm just not sold on Vince's defensive effort. I already struggle watching Mo let guards fly by him nightly.

Congrats to the OKC Thunder on a 1-13 start and a fired coach already

NOTEBOOK

The Nets may seem to be in the process of blowing up their roster, but if they truly wanted to experience a true demolition job, they had their chance Wednesday night.

As they were putting some of the finishing touches on the Richard Jefferson-Yi Jianlian deal, the Nets received a call from the Cleveland Cavaliers, who offered them Wally Szczerbiak and his expiring, $13.2 million salary for Vince Carter.

According to two Eastern Conference executives, who asked for anonymity so as not to spill Rod Thorn's secrets, the Nets considered it -- but not for very long.
http://
Thorn would not comment on the discussion yesterday, but while the deal would have crippled his offense, it would have freed up yet more money for the 2010 free-agent market. The Nets have only $36 million earmarked toward player salaries that summer, and the removal of Carter's four-year contract would cut that in half.

But thats from June and now its considered the Cavs might be including a 1st rounder to resume talks.

Many around the league think New Jersey will make Vince Carter available at the trade deadline. Cleveland is rumored to be a suitor in waiting. ...

^We need to be looking for bigs. For the first time in LBJ's career we have solid guys at the 1, 2 that know their roles and are playing great ball. Andthey're doing it together. Z and Ben won't be around forever, and I wouldn't sleep with AV and Hickson as starters. How has Kamen been playing thisseason, is he worth making a run at if available?

MikeD'Antoni offered Stephon Marbury a chance to play on Friday night, but the guard refused the opportunity.

"I said, 'Look Steph, one of the principles are gone, Jamal Crawford, there's 30-35 minutes out there, and they are yoursif you want them. Are you ready to go?'" D'Antoni said.

"He said the direction of the team went in a different direction, he wasn't comfortable with the situation, and he did notwant to play."

Marbury said: "The only thing I'm at liberty to say is that I was told that they were moving forward, and I'm not theperson that chooses who plays and who doesn't. That's the only thing I'm able to say."

Asked about D'Antoni saying he declined to play, Marbury repeated, "That's the only thing I'm able tosay."

StephonMarbury's story regarding why he didn't play against the Bucks on Friday night differs from that of Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni.

"The only thing I'm at liberty to say is that I was told that they were moving forward, and I'm not the person whochooses who plays or doesn't," Marbury said.

The point guard was then reminded that he was told that at the beginning of the season.

"I was told that today, too," Marbury said.

'Antoni, however, claims that he offered Marbury playing time against Milwaukee, which would have been his first minutes of theseason.

"When the trades went down [Friday] afternoon, I said, 'Look Steph, one of the principals are gone, Jamal Crawford. There's 30 to 35 minutes out there, and they're yours if you want them. Are you ready to go?' " D'Antoni said.

Marbury didn't play, regardless of who made the decision, leaving the Knicks with just seven players.

"Steph's a grown man," Knicks guard Chris Duhon said. "If he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to play.It doesn't bother me at all. I was satisfied going to war with the seven guys we had."

The Clippersinsist that they'll keep both Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman after acquiring Zach Randolph from the Knicks on Friday.

Los Angeles has been rumored to have interest in New Jersey's Vince Carter, and they could use one of their big men to pry himaway from the Nets.

However, the contract of Kaman is probably too long for New Jersey's liking.
Randolph Throws PartingShot At Marbury
Zach Randolphmay now be an L.A. Clipper, and while he did not have any bad words for his former team, he did have some words for one of his former teammates, the New YorkDaily News is reporting.

"Playing with a great point guard like (Davis), it's just going to be great. He's going to be the best point guard I everplayed with."

When reminded that he played with Marbury last season, Randolph said simply, "Baron's Baron."

I agree with the bigs, but my concern is D West's size at the two. What is he gonna do when we play Kobe, or T-Mac?

He held his own vs VC with help defense, but I think in a playoff series, he'd get exploited.

I dont think Cavs would need VC, I think theys're cool without him, there wouldnt be enough basketballs for him , James and MO. They should get a couple ofok bench players, on the taller posts.

I just don't know if we need to make a trade with the way we're playing. Delonte and Mo have been great, and if we swap Wally for VC that changes thedynamic of our offense. Is there enough basketball for Mo, VC and LeBron on offense? And VC is getting old...would he be motivated in Cleveland or simply goingthrough motions? All that said and there's still no decent big guy available for Wally's contract, which then just forces the question 'Do we wantto take a shot with VC if NJ is willing to trade for Wally and a 1st rounder?'

The L.A.Clippers would like to get the Zach Randolph deal signed and sealed so they can start tinkering with their lineup.

The deal, which saw Randolph and Mardy Collins arrive from New York in exchange for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley, has been delayeddue to the Knicks having concerns about Mobley's heart.

Should the trade go through, according to J.A. Adande from ESPN.com, one source said the Clippers are talking to the Charlotte Bobcatsabout a package that would send Kaman to Charlotte for Jason Richardson. However, another Clippers' source said, "Kaman's not outthere."
