I can't say juggernaut when they still didn't play defense that year. People fell in love with that sample size once Harden got there.

They were a much better team by every metric with Beard and KD than they are with Kyrie and KD. Who knows how it would've fit together in the postseason though with all 3.

Beard even had a terrific record with KD out, even better than wothout Kyrie which was also great, when he was holding it down himself.

Trading all their depth gave them a small margin of error if somebody gets hurt. They basically had to play perfect offense to win. They went 35-37 with Kyrie only playing 20 games and no KD. Woulda kept Atkinson too.
