The Official NBA Thread: LeBron James signs with the Philadelphia 76ers

Alright, meeting over.

From a pure basketball perspective, I love this. LeBron fits really well here because we do not have a real PG who can set people up. LeBron can play that point forward role because:
  1. We don’t have a real PF
  2. We don’t have an orchestrator

So I really like the fit here.

My biggest concern are three things:
  1. He will be 42 by the time the playoffs start
  2. LeBron and Brown have HUGE egos. LeBron is commercial who pretends to be well read and all about human rights while Brown actually is. There might be a clash of egos here and clash of personalities.
  3. 3. Is Nurse the right coach for this group? He’s been underwhelming in Philly, basically a Canadian version of Thibs. But maybe that’s okay due to LeBron’s high IQ?

I mean it makes sense. It's the best lineup he's already won in Cleveland and Miami. The chance to bring a championship to a fourth team is pretty special

Naturally, LeBron goes to a reloaded 76ers right after the Knicks win. I'm going to hate to beat him in the second round because he's my GOAT, but you do what you gotta do. Knicks in 6

1. Bron is still one of the best passers in the league. No team playing late has an “orchestrator”
2. There’s one real PF in the east and that’s giannis. Wall up
3. Yep
4. I don’t think this matters.
5. Nurse is good enough.

Better than Cleveland or GSW at least :lol :{

Believe JJ Redick was going back and forth between Philly and Brooklyn when he was playing for the Sixers.

If this country was what it was supposed to be, this would be a lot easier than it currently is.

Starters:
Embiid
LeBron
Brown
VJ
Maxey

Rotational Bench:
d.Wade
Simons
Philon
Bona
Barlow

Other bench:
Caleb Love (is he any good?), Beauchamp, J Edwards, Jabari Walker

That’s a good bench lineup, not even going to front. Wade, Simons, Bona are good players. Can spot start too.

Lack of real shooters on Philly though. Caleb Love is good. Surprised Portland let him go. Lowkey a steal

We should’ve known it wouldn’t have been Cleveland because LeBron said his next destination would be “fun.” So it was a new team he hasn’t been on before, and most people wouldn’t consider Cleveland fun

Bona is NOT a good player. I want hint o develop but 80% of the time it's hard to watch him play

Side note, the Warriors are going to be awful. They’re continuing to waste Curry’s last years. Good luck paying Draymond a max and an aging injured Jimmy Butler
