House of Horrors for the Falcons tonight :pimp:

great team win. hats off to this defense. hands down the performers of the game. the 4th down stops. the eliminating Julio. the playing the run despite lining up to prevent the big passing plays. getting off the field on 3rd downs (and 4th downs). the blocked FG (i'll count that on the defense but yeah, special teams solid too). just good good good all around.

offense did what they needed to do. no real complaints outside of the first 2 or 3 possessions and the cot damn penalties. could have easily hung 30+ tonight if it wasn't for the penalties early. the cooks TD with the gronk police escort :pimp:

shoutout to johnson bedemosi...playing some great football for us with gilmore and rowe out. he's been big. butler also regaining that swag out there. that play in the endzone to break up the pass before the 4th down stuff by van noy was awesome. his tackling tonight was tremendous as well.

Love that image :pimp:

Agree with everything you said. If last week wasn't a real step forward defensively, then this week has to be. The defense against the run was great to see; coming in to this game, I felt like we'd get gashed again by Freeman.

And Bademosi has made some plays the past couple of games like DSA said.

Props to David Harris for not complaining about not seeing the field and coming in and contributing in this game.

All in all, this was a good performance for all 3 phases. Some people are saying that Atlanta just beat themselves with bad calling, etc., but at the end of the day, we still have to execute and they did that here.

Also, the way the GOAT maneuvers in the pocket is awesome. We mention it a lot, but seeing it in action week to week just makes you appreciate his game that much more.

^^ can't get enough of that 4th and goal stop video up there, man. Flowers blowing up the play by forcing the dude to go really wide and then Van Noy finishing. perfect :pimp:

was thinking about how Brady took two REALLY bad shots last night. that one blindside sack (which is most likely his fault for not adjusting the protection) and that roughing the passer head shot. i really don't know how he just gets up every time no problem. like everyone jokes about the pliability and avocado ice cream, and it probably has a lot to do with it (the pliability part), but damn man. dude is a beast.

Yeah, I'm not sure how he does it either, especially since he's actually getting hit this season. The stats they showed for Brady after first contact were nuts. A lot of people consider Brady to be soft, but dude takes the hits and comes right back.

Sucks about Hightower :smh:

I guess they knew as early as this past March that his pec was 55% torn and it was only a matter of time.

Team is more banged up than I can remember. Boston sports teams in general are all hurting.

Losing Hightower is as bad as losing Jules. He's the heart and soul of that defense; the leader. He comes up with big plays when we need it and gets everyone else on the same page. More than his play on the field, we're going to miss his intangibles and what he brings to the locker room.

Sucks man :frown:

Hightower is a bigger blow than JE. We can still do this, won the damn thing last year w/o Gronk.

with all the weapons offense, i 100% agree with you, man.

he was THE ONE guy we did not want to lose on defense. already thinner than an anorexic ***** at that position and now the rock is gone. almost gotta wonder if one of the RBs (Dion Lewis) or Malcolm (i'll be sick if it happens) get traded for someone. Malcolm is coming on STRONG right now and trading him would be devastating, but the team knows they can't sign him so i could see them making a move for an edge LB.

Yea the resurgence of the D in recent weeks coincided with Dont'a playing more snaps and getting healthier, him being out indefinitely is a huge blow. One silver lining though is that Van Noy has been one of the standouts on defense this season and I'm sure he can step into the role of signal caller easily. David Harris also looked good last week so hoping dudes can step up in Donta's absence.

Shefter says the squad isn't even sure yet on whether he's out for the entire year

Hoping there'll be good news later today and that dude might be able to come back in January at least.

i'm eager to see what Bedard and the all-22 has to say for our offense today. WOOF on their execution today. game should have been OVER at halftime. settling for FGs, MISSING FGs, drops, Brady missing a couple throws...just bad all around. i have no idea why they decided to run up the middle with Lewis so much.

the defense on the other hand gave up one big play but other than that, pretty solid game. just wish we can see more of a pass rush from this unit. would help the secondary a lot.

if Benjamin didn't gift us a safety, that game could have ended REALLY poorly for us.

and stephen gostkowski was the biggest loser this afternoon. he can't be missing FGs inside 50 yards like this let alone multiple in a game

Hogan left Gillette in a sling :smh:

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Hard to believe we're 6-2.

Injuries keep piling up. But at least theres a bye week coming up. Waiting on the MRI from hogan tomorrow. Before the season I was worried about this second half of the season with games against Denver, raiders, and steelers. But the way this season is turning out I should of been more worried about the afc east games. Lol.
Well at least maybe the steelers game towards the end of the season should be a good test to see how far we can go in the playoffs

pretty telling

as much as he's struggled, we need Gilmore back ASAP. JB has been good but having him as the 3rd guy would make us even stronger

WILD

trade makes sense in almost all ways EXCEPT....

what's our TB12 insurance policy?

Does anyone feel like we let go of our future with trading jimmy g?

This trad scares me more then any other before.
