definitely do NOT get a mpc 500, it's terrible

I own a MPC 1000 and would recommend at least getting that

the 500 has a wack OS, and the pads are way too small..it may be good for making beats if you travel but other than that nope

if you're interested in MPC's you should check out the MPC Renaissance that comes out later this year
