To me it's always been whether it's a real shot attempt or not. Sometimes they get em in the air and get hit while attempting a real shot. Keep calling that. Now when he gets him in the air and throws him self into the defender while just throwing up anything? Stop rewarding that. It's simpler than they make it and I have to believe refs at that level know the difference, but it's also not implausible that they had been told to call it more just to get higher scores as the league often feels more offense equals better ratings. It's not a coincidence the league originally made this announcement during the Olympics when everyone was commenting on how refreshing it was to watch actual basketball without all the nonsense many of our stars abuse being rewarded.

I’ve never seen a pre season point of emphasis for NBA officiating last more than a month, but maybe it’ll be different this time since so many ppl complain bout it

I think that is a legitimate difference in this instance.

The majority of fans don’t really care if every travel or moving screen is called correctly, but a lot of people genuinely don’t like the foul-drawing gimmickry and think it decreases the quality of the product.

wouldnt call it giving him away. Ben isn’t going to make the kings worse. You’re praying he cares about basketball. Not a prayer I would take but eye could see them doing it

Kings took Bagley over Doncic.
cashed out Hield.
cashed out Barnes.
drafted a PG 2 years in a row while having Fox
still paying luke Walton.

trading Fox wouldn’t be the worst thing they’ve done recently

So basically. It's dependent on the Kings being incompetent. Can't really argue with that considering their track record.

Today's shaping up to be a good one, mates. Thinking I'll pick up a tasty to go dinner post work, dive into some pre-season hoops and then finish up w/ the new Chappelle special :nthat:

For as great as the brand image is, the NBA marketing SUCKS. Outside the NBA, there are much better commercials. I've always thought the NFL marketing machine was faaaar superior, and there brand partners are just better. Also the NFL taps into there players and vets, and overall it just works. This new NBA campaign looks promising. NBA is a star driven league, I don't understand why the NBA just doesn't use that strength more and there connects outside the league (musicians, actors/actress etc.)

Didn’t know if I was being too sensitive. Or if it was old and I was late. “Black absent father, raised by white mom and checked black on census, but do you.” Has or listen again to make sure I heard that **** correctly.

They’re supposed to stop calling that Harden rip through too. We’ll see.

The arm hook + rip shouldn’t be a call, but a handcheck + rip is a foul. Maybe they’ll call it on the floor now so no free throws.

The leg kicks and jumping into defenders is putrid. Surprised there haven’t been more leg injuries, concussions and missing teeth.

Dudes jumping head first with their skulls aiming directly at the chin and mouth :lol :lol smh

Really? Is there documentation? I'm just curious how they worded it. A significant amount of the time that call is nonsense.
