The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 US Open)

Been watching since the 2nd set. All time classic going on.

And I think Novak hurt his wrist when he smashed his racquet.

Alcarez :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

What a performance and what a start to his career man, gonna be a real problem for the next decade+ if he can stay healthy

Passing of the baton moment

Only his fourth grass court tournament and he's won two including Wimbledon, not too shabby.

Yeah Andy Murray beat him for one of his random grand slam wins.

One of the best matches in Wimbledon history. Truly outstanding. Carlos deserved it. And I give Novak all the credit for his humility. He can come off as a jerk sometimes, but his speech was first class.

And who else enjoys seeing the winner walk through the Wimbledon building saying hello to everyone? Really cool they include this on the broadcast. And I would give anything to see video of Andre getting his trophy and seeing him walk through the different rooms.

Checked the score at like 7 am PST with novaxx up 6-1, 2-0 IIRC and thought well, good run kid.

:wow: congrats to the young blood

Congrats to Carlos. Sick match, first one I’ve watched in a really long time and it had to be one of the greatest

Carlos was abusing Joker with his backhand down the line. I still don't see this as a changing of the guard though.
