I see my post of the country women brought you back to the old days of Shania and Faith and now you're singing the country blues.

I know Toby, he shoulda been a cowboy. Instead he was a country singer.

Depressing.

that don't make him a bad guy.

Like I said I don't care mainly becuase I don't think the numbers are that infallible or sacred.

Also Barry Bonds pre roids to me is unquestionably thee greatest baseball player to ever walk this earth.

The sad thing is we have the privilege of watching the future GOAT and people are too busy talking about steroids to take note. Pujols is the best ever.

Every at bat, I get closer to agreeing with you.

I might already be there.

I am happy that these guys were juicing! If you are going to question their cred for doing something to make themselves better, then I think that it is fair toquestion those who did whatever they could to make themselves worse! Let's talk about Mickey Mantle and his Yankee teammates bouts with alcoholism, INseason! Let's talk about when Black players were not allowed in the Majors! Lets talk about the usage of painkillers that allow players to perform whileinjured, risking their careers! If Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb could be the bigoted, drunk, clap carrying titans of their time, why can't these guys get a pass?

That's because everyone is assumed "Guilty" until proven innocent nowadays. The steroid era did that to the general consensus.

^ i agree. just looking at bonds' all time numbers on baseball reference is mindblowing... dude was a 7 time MVP and got 2nd in mvp voting twice (i thinkone of them he lost to jeff kent?)

What's a Toby Keith?

SamGoody, I'm old. Why?

I dunno; I always thought you were like 24 TOPS.

It can't be fully appreciated until we know all of the names on the list so that we can appreciate those guys too.

the funny thing about this era was, I watched baseball tonight/sportscenter multiple times a day. I had NEVER once seen them mention steroids as a possibleexplanation to why bums like brady anderson were getting 50 jacks a year. there was speculation that the ball was harder, maple bats were harder than pine, thebats had a special coating on them that made them harder, and/or the pitchers just sucked. You would think w/ writters being around the game so much, oneperson would of speculated/seen steroids abuse...I really think the media used a blind eye, just b/c it was exciting.

Roids era is appreciated for us being able to see how big of clowns and babies these dudes are....
