I often wonder, how to people buy kicks? Do you chase stuff to cop because you actually like it? Do you buy stuff to just resell? or for future "trade bait"? I see a lot of mention of "personal pairs" and whatnot and I was just genuinely curious as to what some reasons why people cop pairs.

I solely buy kicks to add them to my collection and rock them. Whenever I purchase a pair of kicks. I always make sure that I really like them. Most of my collection consist of 80s & 90s models. I also f with some of the modern stuff, but I'm real picky. Even back then I was picky. I didn't cop just any kicks. I tell you back then copping kicks was like a mission for me lol cause I was limited my parents weren't buying me the expensive ones, so sometimes I had to go to different stores to find something that I was feeling. Now that I'm an adult if I see something from the past that I didn't have as a kid I'll probably cop it.

I try to wear all of my stuff, if I wear it once and don't like it on foot or its not comfy, I end up selling it weeks later. I have this existential crisis where I know my shoes will get heel drag, will separate, will peel or chip. so i just try to enjoy it and make sure its a model I love or a new model I will grow with over time. Idk
