Some ppl adapt pretty quickly.
I remember one cousin who grew up in the Philippines...he never experienced cold weather before...the first time he ever visited the US was in the middle of winter and it was brick that winter. He took it like a champ. He handled the cold better than I did.

Same boat as you, however I just moved to Texas from NYC. I perfer this 40 degree in texas than 18 degree with a crazy cold wind chill in Nyc. You probably need some iron pills, and I better diet.

I doubt I can adapt like your friend. Im just weak when it comes to cold temps. This is why I can never live up north or anywhere that’s known to be cold.

That housewife character that gets mad that the breadwinner of the family is always at work and not spending time with the family.
Can't have it both ways. Either the guy works all the time so he can afford that lifestyle for your family or he doesn't and everyone is poor

How do you help someone who is too scared to be helped? That's the million dollar question.
My sister has been desperate for a job. A million job searches and nothing has turned up yet.
She's getting depressed.
I tell her there's a chance I can get her a job with a doctor I know. He owns a clinic. But the thing is, she knows this doctor...she's heard me complain about him before. So she tells me 'I don't know if I want to get fired from my first job.'
I don't know how to help her. If she was less afraid I'd go to this doctor in second. But I'm afraid she'll either get fired from being so intimidated that she can't function or she'll quit when the going gets tough. I can live with her getting fired so as long as she tries her best but if she quits on a job I get her it'll look bad on me. The doctor will give me **** everyday I see him

Forget that Doctor , he sounds like trouble. Tell look into Retail for the time being and always keep an eye open to the Chief news paper (in NYC ) for city a job
