Yes, I definitely recommend the movie. Not sure if it's on Netflix yet. But, I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters in the film.

The more things change, the more things stay the same. I never understood that until recently. Humans will always return to the same concepts and ideas we always have had. We just pretend we're talking about something different by using different words to describe it, different outer forms/exteriors, but at the end of the day conceptually it's the same.
Here's something I noticed:
President of China = Emperor of China
Civil Service of China = Imperial Bureaucracy
Socialism with Chinese Characteristics = Qing Dynasty economy
Same stuff.
