the thread about nothing...

I think it’s funny how I’ve called out of my current job more than I’ve called out of my two previous jobs combined. That’s saying something.

Out of office until Jan 3rd :pimp:

So, I need your opinion.
My baby cousins from out the county are here for two weeks. One is a spoiled brat -- the huffing-puffing-complaining when she doesn't get her way, "I'm the boss, we do what I want" type'a kid.
I let her play a little bit of free roam on GTA5 because I thought it was harmless since she just wanted to drive around. I ended her session once a police pursuit took place. I didn't think she'd really get into it. Then I get home from work and she started talking about going to the club and getting kicked out, and about how cool guns are... Realized I ****ed up |l:lol:, so I hid my game because I don't want to be a bad influence on her (she's 8, btw). When she threw a fit after she couldn't find the game in my stash, and I told her "Honey, you're too young to play GTA. It's no good for you."
My boyfriend's family gave her and her brother presents for Christmas. He got tube socks, she got something else. She complained that she wanted her brother's socks and demanded he give his to her. Homegirl huffed and puffed and stomped the ground when I told her that she should be grateful for her presents, and that socks like those can be bought anywhere. When she tried to take his candy, I told her "You have your own candy. Let your brother eat his."

Am I a douche for basically discipling her? I feel bad because I feel like I'm playing the mom role when it's not my place.
Hell no. Spoiled kid.
