the thread about nothing...

iYen is a weird dude man.
If  some weird random dude claims that you're weird, does that mean that you're normal?
Ok its a fact that it has an 8.1 on imbdhf...but does that mean its true? Rating doesn't matter if the popular opnion is that its a show with dry humor...

Also every bad show has a small amount of people that thinks its good or even funny... *gasp*
The fact is k/p is that hilarious. It wouldn't have the viewership that it has, if that weren't true.

People like you said the same about tosh.0, but it's in it's 5th season.

Would you please clarify your second sentence? I'm not understanding how ratings don't matter.

Your last sentence makes no sense considering that k/p is one of CC's most successful shows.
I expressed it but you said my opinion is invalid...its invalid because I don't like the show? Cmon iyen dont be that guy
Your condescending opinion of "I think you are a rare breed to find that show funny..." is invalid given that the show has been so successful.

:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

C'mon tho b, you know you weren't expecting those to be shows someone would say were funnier. Honestly, I think there was maybe a sketch or two I found funny. I think it was about pouring out liquor for the homies n ol' boy couldn't do it. That was funny. But for the most part, nah that **** ain't my type of humor.

hmm not your type of humor.

maybe we need some sort of humor type survey. to get a better idea of what kind of humor NT like. Simply answer yes or no.

1. Do you find Katt Williams hilarious?

2. Do you find Tyler Perry hilarious?

3. Kevin Hart?

4. Daniel Tosh?

5. Chappelle Show/Dave Chappelle?

6. Will Ferrell?

7. Jim Carrey?

8. Bernie Mac?

9. Louis C.K.

10. Martin Lawrence.

I feel like depending on how NT answers we'll get a better understanding on what kind of humor they like.

EDIT: answering "sometimes" or "occasionally" is cool too.

2. **** NO

3. Sometimes

4. Sometimes

and see to me I think it takes a specific kind of breed to like that show.
Haha.

@bay1591  I dare you to watch an episode of Tosh.0 at a starbucks in public with the sound being clearly audible to anyone around you.

Post the results then I'll paypal you $20.

my bad I forgot to mention sometimes or occasionally are perfectly acceptable answers.

Ok im done for tonight...if you like it then im happy for you...
I backed up what I was saying with some facts.
You just made baseless statements about key/peele.

It has a 8.1 because people voted...but does that represent the majority of people who watch it or just people who rated it? Its a rating from people s opinions

As far as for the statement about the breed of people? Omg ok sorry

you like it? Fantastic...I don't like it, not my type of humor...

I remember when one of my boys tried to get with my gf and when I hit him up about it he said I'm sorry, can't we look past this.

I was like you soft b

I got that after I read your answers, but thanks for clarifying. So what would you say about my sense of humor?

I'd say based on both of our answers that we have a similar sense of humor.

so I don't get it, what's so unfunny about K & P? Like some of their material like the continental breakfast and power of wings skits are corny.

but others like auction block, excessive celebration and slap-*** are hilarious to me.

their sports related skits to me usually get me CTFU because the references are usually spot on.

i will never listen to any of those rating sites such as imdb.

gave "Inside Llewyn Davis' damn near a 9 and it was one of the dumbest movies i'd ever seen.

love coen brothers movies too..

that entire thing was a waste of great cast members.

but yeah i HATE samberg.

he is the lamest dude on that show and i avoid anything with him in it.

i tried really hard to avoid giving brooklyn a chance but it really got good.

terry crews and homie from superbad, the guy who asks if they have a myspace make the show great.

they could seriiously replace samberg with literally anybody else and it would still be a better choice.

Some facts=it's one of CC's most successful shows and it has a good score on metacritic.

Your dislike of it is perfectly fine, but don't try to make it seem like your opinion is fact.

When did I say that iyen...when? You know what lets just drop it...

Is imdb really that credible to be used as fact though?

rotten tomatoes > IMDB.

edit: just checked, didn't know RT didn't do TV critique.

disappoint I am.

anyways, I mean if NTers enjoyed Chappelle Show I'm surprised that many don't mess with K & P. K & P borrows a lot of its sketch style from the Chappelle Show. A lot of racially driven humor, sometimes even touchy subjects, that in any other context would be taboo to even discuss in most settings.

I think they take the sting off a lot subject matter, get people thinking, and laughing. I think it's smart material.

IMDb is the legitist rating site imo.

You do know that you can see what people of a specific age gave the movie right?

A movie having a high rating doesn't mean that you'll like it.

You need to look at the plot summary and genre. Those aspects are much more relevant than it's rating.

In the case of whether a movie/show is getting good ratings, I'd say yes.

I'd assume that in other cases such as "how much did a movie make?" imdb is not as credible.
