I don't know, there's just something about it I don't find funny. I guess those dudes come off as lame to me, almost as if they're trying too hard. It's been a long time since I've seen it, kuz when I don't like something, I avoid it. It's cool if you like it, different strokes fam.I got that after I read your answers, but thanks for clarifying. So what would you say about my sense of humor?
I'd say based on both of our answers that we have a similar sense of humor.
so I don't get it, what's so unfunny about K & P? Like some of their material like the continental breakfast and power of wings skits are corny.
but others like auction block, excessive celebration and slap-*** are hilarious to me.
their sports related skits to me usually get me CTFU because the references are usually spot on.
damn they gave that crappy movie i mentioned 94%..Is imdb really that credible to be used as fact though?
rotten tomatoes > IMDB.
edit: just checked, didn't know RT didn't do TV critique.
disappoint I am.
what is the thing people go by usually? the audience percent or the tomato thing![]()

Hell naw, bruh. I'm lightweight offended you would ask that. Race doesn't have any influence on whether or not something is funny. Comedy is universal.I don't know, there's just something about it I don't find funny. I guess those dudes come off as lame to me, almost as if they're trying too hard. serious question, answer honestly....
is it because they're light-skinned?

Stephen A.*Th-th-the audacity, sooo disrespectful*Stephen A.
But naw, I can understand why you would ask that tho. BTW, what race do you think I am?
Human? Niiice!Hell naw, bruh. I'm lightweight offended you would ask that. Race doesn't have any influence on whether or not something is funny. Comedy is universal.

human.
forreal tho only reason I ask is because I feel like some people would legit gripe about them being half-black while poking fun at black subject matter.
I personally don't even think of people in terms of race, but I know for a lot of people, there are different levels of blackness. if that makes any sense.
I personally don't even think of people in terms of race
Human? Niiice!
Yeah, I know what you mean. I see it a lot n it's just confusing. People are so quick to be up in arms when it comes to race n stereotypes, not realizing that intelligence, stupidity, comedy, etc. come in every color, gender, belief, etc. Tho I do find most stereotypes to be funny as **** when they happen in real life.
@Jay Patt
I know exactly what you mean. Tho I have found I do my best work when my back's against the wall n that pressure starts to mount.

I hate when I see I'm glad so and so got this because of their race / "were the same race".
Dumb *** hell.

How did your friend usually elaborate on this?I had a homie (R.i.P. Matt) who would not accept Jamaicans, Haitians or anyone else of african ancestry as "black". His definition of black pertained exclusively to "African Americans".
How did your friend usually elaborate on this?
This makes no sense to me.
I think that pop culture showcases society's more progressive aspects, so I can see why they might gain pride from it.Exactly.I hate that **** too.
So fam over there gets a hearty *** nod of acknowledgement because ya'll share the same ancestry.
but I get a glare?
smfh I be wanting to yell at strangers.
"YOU DO ******* KNOW YOU'RE JUST STRENGTHENING THE VERY LINES UNSCRUPULOUS INDIVIDUALS CREATED TO TRY AND DIVIDE US, RIGHT? RIGHT!!?!"

And then it's over the stupidest ****.
Having a role in a TV show? Really? THATS what makes you proud?
I see. Did he say what his reasonings behind his statements though?like how did he bring it up?How did your friend usually elaborate on this?
This makes no sense to me.
he just would man, we'd be having a discussion about race over a blunt with a Haitian friend of ours or Jamaican friend of ours and he'd legit throw them under the bus.
I have friends n fam that are just outright racist that I've had to let go. I even know others that subscribe to that Unkle Rukus type thinking too. I just shake my head, like c'mon b, we all people. Some people are just stuck in their ways.Human? Niiice!

exactly. and that's exactly why I asked.
I mean some of the most ignorant, just outright offensive **** I've heard about black people has come from other black people.
I had a homie (R.i.P. Matt) who would not accept Jamaicans, Haitians or anyone else of african ancestry as "black". His definition of black pertained exclusively to "African Americans".
And likewise he'd look at bi-racial black dudes as less black, as if their blackness only went so far.
I mean he was an otherwise chill dude, but dude was a straight up self-righteous bigot
Loved him like my bro though, even if he got on my last nerve.
Like they're the one that got it. Last time I checked, they don't put food on your table, money in your pocket, roof over your head, etc.I hate when I see I'm glad so and so got this because of their race / "were the same race".
Dumb *** hell.

Some people just pigeonhole themselves n come off as very ignorant. It's like they're proud of perpetuating these stereotypes they're so adamant about condemning. It's a bass ackward way of living life. Then all that comes of it is the self-fulfilling prophecy n continued cycle of stacked odds against making something positive. Social Darwinism has never been more proven. N it's not just people that come from poverty, it's just those in poverty already have it a lot harder. Then there they go adding fuel to the fire, then want to ***** n moan when they don't seem to ever get their chance.Exactly.I hate that **** too.

People of africian ancentstry are more "black" than he is. Given the text book definition of what "black" is.
That's ridiculous reasoning.I see. Did he say what his reasonings behind his statements though?

yeah he basically felt that their struggle was theirs and blacks in this country had their own specific struggle, so he felt that a lot of other "types" of black people (such as Haitians and Jamaicans) were adopting an identity in this country that wasn't earned.
he felt like for them to come in after the civil rights movement, many being only 2nd or 3rd generation Americans, that they had no right to call themselves black americans. and that their blackness wasn't the same.
he didn't stop there, he basically could give a **** about the strife of Native Americans and other minority groups. He just felt that if you weren't 100% "African American" you don't have a right to identify with black americans.
he didn't define "black" as people of African ancestry. black to him was living in america being a descendent of those who fought for his civil rights. he was even mean-spirited towards Africans.
