the thread about nothing...

I think 2-3 years is a solid gap. and true people will always cry foul but I can't feel sorry for someone if whine about a film that's close to a decade old...like what were you doing all this time to not see it yet but still have anticipation of not knowing the twist and turns yet?

I watched Shawshank Redemption for the first time about a year ago.

I had not been aware that the movie even existed.

I think that that's how some people can go a decade without seeing a movie.
Damn that's crazy, I can understand not seeing it but not even aware it existed

I still havent seen The wire....or breaking bad....

Breaking Bad:

Pros:more dope action scenes, more interesting main characters, more interesting plot, and beach

Cons: non-existent except Skylar to most people.

I watched four seasons of this show in a week, which I had no intention of doing.

I watched one episode and I was like

The Wire:

Pros:Better dialogue, more characters to like, reflection of real life, each season touches on a something different.

Cons: Some characters are uninteresting

In short, Breaking Bad>>>>>>>>>The Wire.

So there's no  expiration dates? The end of Sixth Sense? The twist in Empire Strikes Back with Luke? The final scene of the Sopranos? ALL of those are off limits? Major events in pop culture can't ever be discussed without checking first? Yeah, there's expiration dates.

Most people don't start conversations with perfect strangers by telling them how Forrest Gump ends, but when you're discussing things on the Internet, there's a risk of spoiling things that are old and incredibly popular. This thread should be more considerate since there's a spoiler function, it's pretty easy to use. But there's a certain expectation that if you haven't seen something after all these years, then you shouldn't be sensitive about having it "ruined".

Case in point, your Shawshank example. Knowing the end of that really won't ruin a thing. Hell... look at the picture/cover, the ending isn't exactly a shock. I won't think less of someone or insult them if they say they've never seen it. But that's one of the most popular movies the last two decades. It's on TNT and AMC all the damn time, nominated for Oscars, number one on IMDB's top 250. If you haven't seen it by now then I'd assume someone isn't a big enough movie fan to care if it gets spoiled.

It's happened to all of us and it sucks at times. I had a big twist in Harry Potter ruined for me, but that was a global smash series... there's a good chance since I'm on the Internet all the time I might have that ruined. It was lame but I still enjoyed it anyway.

@ BB >>>>>>>>>> The Wire because Breaking Bad is "more interesting". That's way too subjective to be so confident over it's superiority. I love both but they're too different to compare. And there's plenty of threads about those shows so let's not start comparing.

about it?

Have you seen the movie?
not yet, but i wanna see it. Wonder how does kids are like now
One is a kid pastor now.

He's the one with brown hair.

Sorry if that's not descriptive enough.

If you watch the movie, there will be a kid who wants to be a pastor.

That's who I'm referring to.

The only reason that I knew that that movie existed is because Family Guy made fun of Stephen King's movies. If it weren't for family guy, I probably would have not seen that movie by now.

Come to think of it, Family guy has put me onto so many old things.

Bird is the word song, Beverly Hills cop theme song, revenge of the nerds, and various other things that I can't remember.

Not off limits, just spoiler alerted on NT.

Unless there's an objective way to make and expiration date for spoilers, I don't see how you can say that there are expiration dates.

Valid point.

The >>>>>>>> is in regards to how fast I watched BB.

At the beginning of the week I was like "What is BB?"

By the end of the week I was like "Gus
