the thread about nothing...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_Fire

"The Ring of Fire is a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur. In a 40,000 km (25,000 mi) horseshoe shape, it is associated with a nearly continuous series of oceanic trenches, volcanic arcs, and volcanic belts and plate movements. It has 452 volcanoes (more than 75% of the world's active and dormant volcanoes).[1] The Ring of Fire is sometimes called the circum-Pacific belt.

About 90%[2] of the world's earthquakes and 81%[3] of the world's largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. The next most seismically active region (5–6% of earthquakes and 17% of the world's largest earthquakes) is the Alpide belt, which extends from Java to the northern Atlantic Ocean via the Himalayas and southern Europe."

a short list of nothx from around the world:

-durian fruit
-tacos cabeza
-balut

and the latest, chicken sashimi:

I feel like if I navigated my childhood without chitterlings and chicken foot soup, I'm not objectively obligated to try any other culture's most controversial dishes either.

I mean, I have eaten several swine just this year, but I don't eat *** and the intestines of a pig have to be about as close as you can get within legitimate culinary confines.

Tacos cabeza is bomb though.

I'm sure it titillates your tastebuds bruh, I just can't myself. my Spanish is barely functional, but I clearly understood the description given me.

My attention span is too short to watch a scene of The Godfather

Pops is watching it right now, trying to get me into it

I'd rather read a book

but what about the texture of raw chicken? I imagine something between sushi and bubblegum in my mouth and it sounds like a punishment.

Durian smells horrible but it doesnt taste too bad. I tossed some in the freezer. Legit was like ice cream after :nerd:

no, see, that tradeoff is not worth it. if something smells terrible, it needs to taste amazing (bleu cheese, onions, spicy mustard).

Depends on the person I guess. I know people who LOVE how durian taste. I personally wouldnt go out of my way to get it
