the thread about nothing...

I'll do both, Go to 2nd event 1st and show up late to the 1st event so you don't have spend too much money a the 1st event. Get a cocktail or something.

You'll get to see both girls. Smash two birds with one stone.

Got two event lined up on the same date:

First event:
Price: $35
Pros: Meal + Open Bar. Best friend going with his girl and couple of other dudes I know
Cons: Girl potential is average and not so close to my place (although very doable with Uber / public transit)

Second event:
Price: Free (house party)
Pros: Free Food. Very good chance this one girl will be there which can definitely get it  + at least 3-4 dudes I enjoy hanging out with will be there. Close to my house (walkable distance)
Cons: BYOB (but that's fine since I can use that $35 saved towards alcohol). Couple of people I don't really enjoy hanging out with will be there.

Which event should I pick? :nerd:

the house party

Showing late to the first one is a big risk of me missing on the girl. I've been told she works early and that's why she dips relatively early usually.

$35 event will get you the yambs.

meh, i've seen the type of girl there. Nothing crazy.

It's a Med resident event. More guys than girls usually show up and the woman ain't all that. However, they will make bank in a couple of years :nerd: :lol

If you put it like that... I'd go to the open bar joint just to network with other residents. Super easy choice.

I don't see the networking opportunity unless you talking about wifing one of them.

I don't work in that sector and i'm not a personal finance advisor anymore.

Not really.

If I leave the first party early, I miss out on the fun.

But if I arrive to the second one late, I most likely miss out on the girl.

Also, first party is black tie event and really don't feel like hitting the house party in a suit :lol

kd will forever be a ho
People were doing LeBron stan level mental gymnastics to defend this dude. Lets get this out the way now Durant is

The police say that their actions were legal

A pair of Florida police detectives attempted to use a dead suspect’s finger to unlock his phone after he was killed by police officers last month, reports the Tampa Bay Times (via Gizmodo).

Linus F. Phillip was killed at the end of March by officers Matthew Steiner and Prentice Ables after they pulled him over due to his car’s tinted windows, according to the Tampa Bay Times. He was killed when the two officers tried to arrest him after smelling marijuana in the car, and he attempted to drive away while one officer was caught halfway out of the vehicle. The officer fired his gun at the Phillip, who crashed and was later pronounced dead.

Shortly after Phillip’s death, Largos detectives went to the Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida, where the body was being held. They attempted and failed to unlock his phone in the course of a separate drug investigation involving Phillip.

Victoria Armstrong, Phillip’s fiancé told the Times that she “felt so disrespected and violated,” but Largo police spokesman Lt. Randall Chaney says that the detectives didn’t need a search warrant, an assessment backed up by several legal experts, who said that it was “ghoulish,” but that constitutional protections against searches don’t apply to the deceased.

Update, April 22nd, 6:40PM ET: A prior headline identified the detectives as being from Miami. It has been corrected.

What more do want, you already killed the man. Dirt cops are everywhere.
Honestly I never would’ve imagined that department doing something crazy like that (I live in the Tampa Bay Area and the Largo PD is super small) Idiots for trying to unlock his phone with his prints after he passed.
