At the age in life where I'm cool on roller coasters now

I feel like I hear a story every 3 months or so how a ride broke down and people are stuck in thr air for hours before rescue.

If Google is correct there are around 6800 roller coasters operational in the world, the average coaster runs around 300 cycles in a day. So, if my math is correct, and you are on one of those roller coaster rides in a 3-month period, and one of these events happens every 3 months or so, you've got somewhere around a 1 in 183,600,000 chance of being stuck on a coaster in the air. That's somewhere between matching 5 numbers and all 6 numbers in a Powerball drawing.

There is a better chance that you draw a random name of a US citizen out of a hat, knock on a single, random door of any random US house or apartment, and that person that you drew lives there, on the first try.

But I get it.
