Yeah the bracelet is definitely not as comfortable and looks and feels a little less refined compared to the oyster. I think I'm gonna buy an official omega rubber strap for it anyway to prevent the crossover feel of having two divers the same colour.

That’s my plan too, except I plan on getting the blue model.

I don't wear a lot of blue but the blue on the seamaster is arguably but best use of that colour on a watch (better than smurf sub)

Tbh idk how much I’d wear the blue, but all my watches have a black dial. I need to change it up eventually haha.

Yeah I hear that. I think I'll be sticking with black unless I can get my hands on a platinum yachtmaster.

which one?

they always have a rolex or omega or breitling at costco here and there

they aren't an ad though but if its covered under their warranty then that's a good purchase

Question...if money was no issue what watch you guys buy for your daily wearer? Got to thinking after watching this guys videos where he highlights what top CEOs, professional athletes and others of that caliber wear. I am in no means an expert like most of you but if I had the cash I think I would wear an AP Royal Oak.

If I had a choice, it would be a Nautilus. Rolex, Omega, etc are too common.

I actually just accepted a new position, so I might be in the market for another large purchase. Not Patek level though haha. Might just snag the new SMP for a new daily. Also hunting a 1990 114060, which will be extremely hard and requires a lot of patience.

I don’t think you’ll ever find that year and reference together lol

nautilus would have been my first pick too but I am not sure a square watch would suffice as a daily wearer for me and even if money is not an issue i'd probably still wear a sub no date or a black daytona as my daily

but instead of a 116520, maybe a 116500 so i have less to worry about with the bezel but then i also can't decide between white or black dial so i'll have ot have both... that counts... right?

that gshock is nice...must resist

That's the one i want. Just need to know how to coating holds up.

Just a quick thing the 114060 is the latest Rolex Submariner. I think the one from your birth year (1990) is the 14060 which launched that year or the 14060m which is effectively the same watch just modernised with solid end links, engraved rehaut and possibly made of 904L steel (i'm unsure of when this was implemented in this model) as opposed to the industry standard of 316L steel.

Birth year watches are cool, but for the same money there isn't a chance in hell I'm buying a 14060 over a 114060. Older reference watches feel like tin, wear too small (for me), and don't look nearly as good (subjective).

That was a great deal. I'm sorry man because unless your getting a deal via friends or fam you'll be hard pressed to get one for that price again.
