The Walking Dead - Official Thread

That badass season 4 trailer, and that we have Gimple in control
exactly why

I can't express in words how dope this show is.

I just watched all 3 seasons online in the past couple of weeks and I'm hooked. The new season trailer has me hyped!

Is it me or did the dead lose some of their abilities last season? How did they lose the ability to break glass? I could've sworn they broke some glass in season 1...

Either way, the dead look like much more of a threat in the trailer for season 4. Can't wait. :smokin

just finished catching up on all three seasons.

LOVED the first two... but season 3 kinda turned me off. the whole prison vs. woodbury thing was a little heavy-handed in my opinion.

still looking forward to season 4 though...

same here...

all that stuff was kinda weird...

i went back and looked at the comics.... and they said they governor was WAY more evil in those...

on the TV show, he came off as a guy that i semi rooted for at first...

I'm not hyped about the series as I used to be, just too many filler episodes that seem to drag out the story. That might also be because I played The Walking Dead game by Telltale which owns the series in comparison. Isn't the game based on the comics? If so might have to start reading it, few people in this thread liked it better than the show.
The comic is the best TWD universe.

Start reading it asap.

Hey_

Aside from the original source material,

Telltale's "The Walking Dead" is a fantastic iteration of "The Walking Dead".

They should seriously consider snagging a couple writers from Telltale.

Oh, and Lee Everett > TV Rick Grimes.

I agree.

Wish Lee would've thought to cut his arm off right after he was bitten. RIP Lee

You still die because you lost a bunch of blood.

After going back and rewatching, they shouldn't have killed off Shane so fast... The buildup between him and Rick could have been executed much better.

This, This, This

I felt they should've went completely away from the comics, regarding the Shane vs Rick showdown.
Well, in a way they did being that Shane doesn't make it to the farm in the comics.
Thought it would've been more interesting had they fought and it lead to the group being split up.

True, guess I was just trying to think of it as the same situation with having to cut Herschel's leg off on the show. Situation was much different, though. Lee and his group had no medical supplies to work with.

They should've actually killed him sooner. Having the whole I'm right, you're wrong, and oh I screwed your wife storyline drawn out even more would've been annoying.

I agree. Dude became the ultimate habitual line stepper. I understand that he was Rick's homie for a long time, but after I find out you smashed my wife, are having a negative influence on my son and keep pushing up on my wife, you gotta go (in that setting and maybe even real life). And when the wife was pissed at Rick after he offed Shane she deserved everything that came to her.

EDIT:

:lol at that sneak peek. What exactly am I supposed to take from that?

I think this is something Kirkman really wants. I don't think he wants to be held back by the source material, this will allow him some more room for creativity, I'm not looking forward to it though.

Feels to me people aint feelin a spinoff series. Dunno why. Im sure its gonna be decent. Who knows it could even be better. If thats even possible.

I'm down for a spinoff. As stated, it allows more creativity. With the current show they have to worry about pleasing the comic fans as far as the tv story living up to the original. With a spinoff that want be an issue.
