It's funny though how all that could have been avoided if they just left them locked in there.

I was reading the comics and two things ocurred to me.
How are these walkers able to rip through flesh like it's paper when in the show the walkers are always being shown making weak *** grabs at people?
The walkers can't eat people's brains since there's a skull around it. Given that, wouldn't every human that a walker feasts on become a walker as well?
