Thinking about him and the wings of that era, as well as recent events, made me think about that fool Ruben Patterson and how he dubbed himself “The Kobe Stopper”. I looked it up and Ruben Patterson was 14-9 against Kobe but Bean put up 29/7/5 on 44/31/84 splits (close to his career percentages).

This included 3 40+ games and 10 games in the 30s. He really only clamped up Kobe 3 times in 23 matchups (12, 15, 17 points). Such a misguided narrative.
