so he wants to buy a few pairs of kicks here and there, do all of you guys walk around barefoot so you can pay off debt, buy a house etc....?

if he wants to buy some kicks with his $$, nothing wrong with that.

I'm never the type to tell a man how to spend his money, but dropping half of your monthly income on a pair of shoes is by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Dude is considering living off of $800 a month.

I don't plan on copping any new releases. Only js from 2000s, some first SB dunks and probably player exclusive. I also know that each pair is going to cost my two weeks pay
This is what's wrong with people nowadays..
No if he worked there then he could steal the Nikes and not have to buy them

still pathetic.  Use that money to better your life.  Save, go to school, pay off debt, buy a car, get a spot....all better options than spending your whole check on sneakers.

Right. I got no debt at all don't care about a car and going to school in 6 months. Thx for your advice

I sold w/e collection i had had from 2000-2007 (like 55 pairs) in 2008. Only jays i didn't sell were my space jams, black red xi's, and cool grey iv's.

Thought i had retired for good, until of course the cool grey xi's came back out. I bought a pair of cool greys, than soon after that i bought the true blue III's, and before you know it i was back to buying Jordan's again in moderation. Lately i've just been buying og's and older retros but i only do so once every 2 months and i have a $300 budget. If i see a good deal now and than, sometimes i'll bite.

If you do come back into it i would suggest doing so in moderation, and give yourself a budget.

I never understood how people could sell their ENTIRE collection.. If you sold your shoes once before, you'll be tempted to sell them again. Trust me. Trying to get back in the game at the state its in now is definitely not worth it.. Every time JB decides to retro something, its always a headache come RD & the prices of older versions are sky high rite now.. Then the quality of the shoes is often a hit/miss kind of thing these days as well.. As soon as I grab all that's on my list, ill be done with the game. Its definitely too much hassle & time to stick around "just because" these days. Your not missing anything.. Believe me. Lol.

Only cop online to resell these days. I only have 3-4 pairs of sneakers in my rotation (2 freeruns, Pair of beat BC3s and some fire red 4s)

I grew out of it like everyone else. don't see myself going back to dropping the $$$ I used to for a pair of sneakers.

I sold my entire collection because i found myself not wearing them. Sadly, after about 2 and a half years of not buying a single Jordan, i find myself falling into the same pattern. Out of all the sneakers i've bought within the past 2 years i've only worn maybe 4 of them and that's probably once or twice. Though i buy most of them with the intent to wear, i never end up doing so.

I think i may just end up selling my entire collection again in 2-3 years. At this point i've pretty much owned every pair of jordans that i've ever wanted. Hopefully i can be out of it for good the next time i decide to sell it all.

Thats the thing...how many shoes can you wear?

Honestly unless you can afford it there is no point in having a huge collection.  And by afford I mean having all other grown man issues handled.  Debt under control, decent whip, apt/home, good job, kids taken care of.

I used to want shoes so bad I would dream about them when I was younger.  I would carry an Eastbay around.  Then it got to the point that I was looking at shoes online so much I honestly felt like I had them.  I didn't even need them anymore as long as I had a couple pair.  Its weird but Im good not having them shoes even tho I like them.  It the same with all the "foreign car" guys on this board that will never own one.  Don't go broke have excess when it don't mean nothing.  Spend your money wisely.

Thought about it and I probably just cop 3 or 4 of my favs

The last pair of Jordan kicks I copped where the Bordeauxs, I don't even look at release dates anymore, I didn't even know the bred 13's re-released until some young dude stopped me and asked how I got them so early I was wearing my pair from 08

The older you get the less exciting it is, and now and days it's too much hassle, I knew something was up when the small *** town I live in had people camping I was shocked, I remember how I could walk in the shoe store on the afternoon of release dates and the store still had about a full run

Now and days I just cop stuff I really want
