That plan sounds like it has a lot of questionable pieces, especially the old outstanding debt and the auditing that has yet to happen.

That's exactly why Libby is so adamant about not spending public money on a stadium. Regardless, I think tax money is going to that $95M for an unused Mt. Davis whether they leave or not.

Ronnie Lott and co. matching Adelson's contribution to Vegas for $650M is the highlight to the article, hell I seen a video of Lott saying they'll even contribute more than Adelson if needed.

The article does say $200M from public money too, but I think that is in reference to the infrastructure around the stadium and not the stadium itself...

Didn't realize how ****** it looked on mobile when I posted, so here's the link for those that want a nighttime read: http://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/...643358.php?t=054778423e&cmpid=twitter-premium

People on twitter are now saying that the $200M in public money is actually towards the stadium.

$650M from Lott group
$200M from Oakland
$250M from Davis
$250M from NFL (could be more if those terms of getting from NFL to stay in market are met?)

$1.3B to stay in the better market, in the same location, and you don't have to deal a corrupt billionaire.

Reports are they still have some things to iron out, but City Council has basically approved it to this point. I think they still need County approval next before sending it to the NFL.

Moving up to the Bay Area this weekend for work.

Would somebody be nice enough to swoop me up 1 playoff ticket (once they get there) when they go on sale

What is Lott asking for in return anyway?

His interviews claim that he wants to do his due diligence as a member of the Bay Area or something like that and keep the Raiders in Oakland. I wanna believe his *** but I can't lol.

Apart of me thinks his group will take owner ship of the land, get rent money from the Raiders as he leases the stadium for 30 years or whatever. Add whatever else when the Warriors dip. Make more money on top of that. Just my speculation since it's never been reported.

Edit: Lott has gone on record saying he doesn't want any type of ownership of the Raiders. i believe Adelson is expecting minority ownership (?).

I think it's fair to assume what the NFL wanted/hoped for out of City of Oakland/Alameda County was a plan that had more answers than questions. Maybe City launched this news a bit earlier than desired given the seriousness of the remaining questions, but overall the framework of the deal would seem to be satisfying from the NFL's POV. I frankly doubt the NFL is interested in what the impact would be on City were there to be some kind of economic downturn in the future, which City/County have obvious concern for; the NFL's business is in securing the long-term financial stability of the teams and the league, and so long as there is a binding agreement that guarantees the development of a 21st century stadium for a club of theirs, I imagine they'll be receptive.

Goodell's public stance on supporting Oakland before Vegas is also comforting. His influence should be enough to sway at least nine owners to say no to this. Too many variables in Vegas for the old guard's liking I would think. Oakland is a known commodity, and while the City has not been the best (in the NFL's view) partner to the league in the past, this proposed deal is the best step yet taken.

Another thing to consider when thinking about Goodell and the owners, the league have sent stadium advisors to Oakland to work directly with the city to go over league expectations and requirements.

I really wonder how Mark Davis truly feels about this...I know he's been vocal about Vegas, but (in theory) if does go down, how does he not consider this? Like what are your reasons (from a business perspective) to not want to keep your options open?

First off, Mark Davis sounds/looks like an idiot, so nothing out of his mouth would surprise me.

Not trying to look to the future already, but with the Mexico rumors swirling around here are the current 2017 teams we're scheduled to play next year:

wow, so the Mexico game would be a away game? wouldn't think Kraft would give up a home game.

Cowboys game might be one for me to check out.

AFC east & NFC east in the same season is gunna make for some ****** travel.

Darius Latham in a walking boot and using a pimp cane. Could be out awhile

Most definitely a big contributor to our run defense.

Amerson looks like he's practicing.

No DJ or Calhoun as of now.

Oh yea, and Carr wearing the glove too.

On another note, I know I'm talkin out my *** and I know I'm talkin cause I'm hyped AF that we're 9-2...but even at 9-2, don't it feel like we can still get better?

Like that first half of the CAR game our D shut them down. Literally, Cam had like 13 yards passing in the first half or something like that. Then they got put into horrible field position with the turnovers and gave up the big plays, but don't y'all just feel like we're getting better still? And the potential of having Aldon and MEJ during the playoffs

I feel like the team isn't even close to fulfilling it's short term potential (this season) or long term potential over the years to come.

Someone disagreed when I said it earlier this year, and I'm really not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but I get the EXACT same feeling watching this team assemble piece by piece, and seeing the young core mature, as I did watching Steph and the Warriors a few years ago before they won a chip.
