To all the NT'er who date black women.....

if you want to get real technical, dread locking your hair isn't really a "natural" hair style, the oils in your hair makes the hair strands separate from each other which either prevents the hair from locking or if the hair isn't treated regularly it gets that flat dread look instead of round.
IMO though i wouldn't mind it though cause its not unhealthy for the hair like perms and relaxers

if she got DAT MASS... we good...

she can get in bed smelling straight relaxer and glue....

but if that massful mass follows...

I have natural hair, and have always had natural hair. I find it so beautiful. I never straighten my hair, and no offense to women with relaxers, but I'm just not with that. I would never relax my hair. I wear a huge curly afro to work every day, and it's interesting because it attracts men from all races and cultures. I've had white, black, and Asian men tell me they love my hair. I have a man, but if some men find my hair ugly because it's not straight, that's cool.

i'm about 80% natural at this point...ive kept my hair braided for about the last year and change but i know my hair isn't naturally curly so i'm kinda nervous...its really thick and kinky which looks great when its done but to manage is a !#%!#...its like that scene from Love and Basketball when Kylya Pratt is getting her hair done by her sister...i cringe everytime i watch it...

to dry it hurts so much...i'm hoping for an Angela Davis fro which is what i pretty much looks like when the braids come out anyways

I did the best I could with given the time I had.

I think there is some discrepancy on the definition of natural hair. My definition of natural hair is hair that has not been processed or relaxed or treated with chemicals. It has nothing to do with how you style your hair. Hair straightened with a flat or curled with a curling iron is still natural hair.

Yea I agree I don't think some of you guys really know what natural hair Is lol.

I say do you if u like relaxers then go ahead and do it I don't really care about other people hair but my own.

I used to get relaxers but now I'm natural & I love it. Although it does get kind of crazy and I end up looking like chaka khan or diana ross

as an older NTer ... the older you get the less it matters. Fica scores become more of a concern then a hat.
