If I or someone commented "Was the criminal black" or made a similar remark about my nonshock of the perp's race in a thread the reaction would to be label them racist would it not? So how is that any different here?

The only way it would have is if the poster asking the question has a past for making racially insensitive remarks or offensive remarks.
You put the negative feelings on the question "Is he white?" It's not an inherently "racist" statement. You created the offensiveness of the statement and want everybody to see the idea you have in your head. It doesn't work like that.

Come on man, this is bs and you know it. Both statements are inherently racist, simply pointing out the race of the perp widdles it down to "it's just what insert any race here do". It doesn't go into the social, economic, etc issues that lead a person to commit such acts. It's literally just a simpler version of the 13% of the population but 50% of the crime stat that racist like to trot out.

No a question asking the race of an individual can be used to push some racist rhetoric but it absolutely is not a racist question.
Just because you can't see how a person can ask for the race of an individual to prepare themselves for the polar opposite treatment of violent offenders based on their race does not mean that nobody can.
Again sound like you put your own implications onto a rational question and got offended by what somebody MIGHT be getting ready to do.

I never said anything about them asking about the perp's race to make a racist remark, I said the asking about the perp's, in general, is usually done to prove a racist point.

Maybe in your circle of friends, social media, news media encounters but when somebody is asking the race of a violent offender it's usually because they know that if he's black or brown we as an entire race will catch blame for it. When the DC Sniper started shooting people, black people were relieved because we all thought that he was white so we as an entire race would not catch flack for his actions, but when it was revealed that he was black boy did the coverage of him change and we felt it.
Again, asking what a violent offender's race at least for the people I know personally and the social media/news media that I follow has more to do with trying to prepare ourselves mentally and less to do with making a racist statement

I honestly think this type of **** is only going to get worse. The internet allows them to find likeminded people with safety of anonymity.
I visited one of these sites after reading an article yesterday. They’re literally encouraging and celebrating mass shootings on there. It’s an echochamber of these deranged school shooters. These internet trolls move from reddit, Misc, etc where you see hints of the same language as a stepping stone into these more psychotic, “meme” spaces. Weird **** going on.

Aren’t lame insults when they are true.
Also, the fact the shooter was brought in alive would lead one to believe the shooter was white, as typically that’s what happens when the shooter is white. Still not sure how that’s racist ...? Seems more to be racist on the police side that they shoot and murder innocent black men in this country, but for mass shooters (who usually happen to be white) they take them into custody. Seems backwards to me.
